Quite obviously you don't watch him play all that much then. Another 4 goals this weekend and is that reliable player who is most likley going to get you at least 2 goals a game which judging by the close games we have seen this season, a very handy thing.

.

Why dont they play him deep in the forward line anymore? He was a great player and is still very servicable but my point is that anyone can chase a heap of cheap kicks on the wing.

He used to be able dominate the forward 50 and win matches off his own boot, he isn't really capable of that anymore on a week in week out basis. Your point that he is good for 2 goals a game reinforces this.

Champion player who is now slowing down with age, nothing to be ashamed of, it could be worse he could be playing like Lucas ;)

because he is the captain and needs to have more influence on games hence the move to CHF, and we also need to give other developing players game time if we are to look towards the future, hence neagle being our FF.

personally i would argue his best games have been him at CHF. CHF is by far the most underrated position on the ground, he has much more influence there then at FF

he is fitter then he has ever been, has massively improved his endurance since his days as a FF

also it could be worse then that, he could be playing like micky o

Can't say I would know as everytime he gets the ball I have to turn away - the googly massive eyes and freakish big open mouth could are just too scary.

Oh and FYI he is a SHOCKING commentator. Thinks every player is 'great,' is never critical - wants to be everyone's friend and it takes 5 mins to get out what he's actually trying to say. Yawn.

You are arguing against yourself. If he is slowing down, he won't be getting any kicks on the wing. He'd be getting thrashed on the wing. Trouble is, you don't watch any Essendon games and just want to shoot off your mouth. If you watched the game against Richmond, or Hawthorn, .....................

God!! what's the use. :(

Narrows down to this.

Lloyd >>>> Richo (Who I think is brilliant by the way)

Opposition fans don't like him? There's a surprise. People don't like anyone that is good. The amount of bags he has kicked on each team has taken its toll on the supporters. That is the real reason people don't like him.

I suppose if he is kicking goals against their team, that would really piss them off. Just listen to the boos when he, or any other full forward goes for a set shot.

Doesn't get the credit he deserves from a lot of supporters. Richo gets lauded as an absolute champion, yet I would say that Lloyd has achieved more in his career and is a much better kick for goal.

Past it - sheepdogging cheap kicks on the wing does not make a good player, ask patrick bowden

at his best he was a very dangerous forward who was capable of winning a game off his own boot, apart from a few glimpses here and there, he is well past that now

must have been sheepdogging when he sat on troy luffs head. didnt he kick more than you women that day?

have played two different positions in very different teams. of course lloyd is the better goal kicker, richo is a great athlete tho.

He's one of those players who cops it a lot from opposition supporters (deep down I don't think many really doubt his ability) and I've never understood why. One of my favourite opposition players.

Lloyd is an absolute champion.
I still ****ing hate him though.
He's doing a job every week and even if he isn't playing well, he's taking the number 1 defender away from Neagle and Gumbleton.

Pity nether of them have done much as of date.

Anyone notice a trend:
Lloyd in early days - Lots of strong marks / keeping on his feet. Great form.
Lloyd in mid days - Diving / giving up easily. Out of form.
Lloyd nowadays - Lots of strong marks / keeping on his feet. Great form.

I hope they don't do any date!

He's the 2nd best forward in the history of the club (130+ years) and one of the all-time greatest goal kickers of VFL/AFL football.

:thumbsu: Superstar.

Terrible call - I love watching Ablett, Buddy and Judd.

Will not be talked about with the greats when his career Carey, Ablett snr, Lockett etc.
