Game Day McMurphy Crows at the G v Collingwood

If there wasn't an inherent bias against Adelaide by the umpires you'd expect us to get the one of these marginal decisions going our way at the end of a tight match from time to time... Yet here we are - not ******* one.

The maggots couldn't even call a simple htb our way when Draper starts dry humping the ball ffs... I've got no doubt Collingwood would've got that free last year where Dawson was smacked high across the face...
Keane dropped the ball , we ran the ball down the other end of the ground and scored our only goal for the final quarter.

The club needs to see whether we can nab Ladhams cheaply from Sydney as a salary dump.

Even though he's had some discipline issues in the past, he's a massive upgrade on ROB.

ROB works hard, but is a B grader and a back up ruckman at best. He would have to be in the running to be the worst ruckman to reach 100 games in VFL/AFL history.

When is Keays gonna cop heat for not being a team player around goals? Had 3 options to handball to but tries to kick the goal and it's smothered.

Every week he's taking a ping at goals when there's a better option than having a shot
40 out tries to snap a goal… the man is delusional, it cost the game, look at the options he has just around him…

The fact he chooses to go his on his own is one of the most selfish horrendous moves a player has done in this football club.

To be honest I'm beyond pissed. It is starting to get predictable. I could see it coming all week.

The terrible second quarter got us into this position. You cannot do that. We're good enough talent wise to score plenty, but we always want to slow things down and we suffer from terrible lapses and are forced to play catch up all day.

Took the lead briefly but then choked big time. To be honest I'm starting to get sick and tired of this, it is very predictable.

You have the lead, you need to keep attacking even if you blow shots at goal.

This team will never learn!!!

lol at not circling ROB :D

I think I watched last years game at the G v Collingwood. Let them get out to a lead before clawing our way back, only to lose by less than a kick due to a dodgy umpiring decision.

What time does today’s game start?
That umpiring decision didn't cost us today, our brain dead players and no leadership cost us, how did Degoey mark that ball with only 2 Crow players in the defencive 50 with only 2 minutes to go with a 2 point lead.

Can someone PLEASE tell me why Chayce Jones gets a free pass every week?!? He needs to be dropped and for a very long time. Is a dumb, low skill footballer who should never have been drafted by us in the first place. I was prepared to give him a few years of being ordinary in the hope he would grow into a decent AFL footballer but is just absolutely not AFL standard. The worst decision maker, a poor mark, and a poor kick. Nicks, PLEASE drop him for Dowling or any of our young guns in the SANFL who are showing any kind of promise!
My guess is due to him being our first choice in the 2018 draft. Nobody wants to admit they made the wrong choice so keep him in the side?

The reality is that we had numerous chances in the last quarter and we shit the bed like we always do.

Blaming the umpires for not winning achieves nothing. The frees were 8-11 our way and there was also a clear holding the ball that wasn't paid against us in the last quarter, so there were bad decisions that went both ways.

Umpiring didn't cost us, we lost it ourselves.

Was at the ground, and jesus that was a bad decision by Ben. He kicks that to Laird, Jones or ROB and who knows. At least it bloody gets us in front. I cant honestly deal with this team anymore. It never gets any better - 7 years of f@cling misery.

But it did cost us the opportunity to win the game.

That is the kind of play that can win a tight game.

Taken away by a poor decision.

Would only be for the Keane non holding the ball

I would have been furious if they paid that after having put the whistle away around for fifty similar moments throughout the match.

Although my favourite non-call in the match was when Walker was being tackled and then a second Collingwood player leaped off the ground and bearhugged his head.

It was very close.

I initially thought he ran too far when I was watching it live, but then looking at the replay he took about 15 steps which is right on the limit.

Personally I thought It was a 50/50 call.

The Tex over the shoulder should have been called.

Is everyone just inherently trusting Jack Riewoldt’s “14 steps” horse shit? After slowing down the vision, Rankine took at least 20 steps after bouncing the ball (you actually need to count both legs), AND we were 50/1 to score a goal even if it wasn’t paid.

Pies had 8 frees all day including that one. Is that some sort of all time low?

We ran in a goal from an obvious free against Keane that wasn’t paid.

We scored another goal from a blatant throw by Laird.

The free to Butts near the end was pretty contentious and the Pies would’ve walked in a goal if it wasn’t paid.

Umps had nothing to do with this result. Our general incompetence and moronic decision making in tight situations had everything to do with it.

O’Brien, Keays, Jones, Smith and Laird led the way with incomprehensibly bad decision making when it mattered. Not young, inexperienced players - these tried and tested failures. If we continue to ignore that, we’ll continue to get the same results as a club.
