40 out tries to snap a goal… the man is delusional, it cost the game, look at the options he has just around him…

View attachment 1992509

The fact he chooses to go his on his own is one of the most selfish horrendous moves a player has done in this football club.
Wouldn't want Laird kicking from there

Yep

Technically there. But that distance rarely called.

Motlop handed Port a last gasp goal for a showdown win running long strided 14 steps sprinting which would have easily been around 18 metres. So its rarely called. But Rankine knew full well he'd run a long way.

Well it was 20 plus, and I’ve watched it in slow motion. So if you aren’t going to bother doing that, maybe don’t hit reply?
You don't need to watch it in slow motion to count the steps. I specifically watched it to count them. There was nothing close to 20 steps.

And the umpires never pay it by length. They always count steps.

It was a bad call, plain and simple. Probably didn't cost us the game, but let's not pretend it was okay.

I mean the cuts of grass are 10m and he ran 2.5 of those after bouncing the ball, but yeah, whatever, I don’t either of us think it decided the game.

From the time he regathered the bounce, it was 12 or 13 depending on if the last stutter is counted.

Everyone getting stuck into ROB are forgetting that great game he played in under 17s

Just watching the replay

OMG Keays' checkside at goal from 20m out straight in front
No right foot.

We squandered so many chances.... gave up a late lead for a controversial umpiring decision to prevent any late win.

Really hard to put up with same shit over & over.

Make him just kick with his right all week at training.

And if he misses a right foot shot from 30m on Thursday, drop him.

Doesn’t this tell you something about our player development?
Since 2018 our player development hasn't been too bad. Jones, McHenry and McAsey pretending to be first round potential cost us. Some people just interview really well 😄

Perhaps it puts weight to how deep our rebuild was. Rough count says 17-18 of our best 23 have come into our system in the last 5 to 6 years with Worral, Murray, thilthorpe and Pedler out injured.

If that's was daicos at that time of the game it's 100% play on.
A) we got more frees today

B) two inexplicable non calls against us led directly to crows goals (Keane throw or holding the ball, Laird scoop throw)

C) even if the call wasn’t made against Rankine, who irrefutably ran a full 9.2m too far, we were 50/1 to kick a goal anyway
