#cringelaideI can't see how Rowe can land tenure for a cushy media job despite having s**t for brains and yet here we are.
No current season stats available
Yeah and he knows fully well he's running out of puff so he's openly going through the motions until he retires.I'm disappointed in Rucci. Yesterday arvo I wrote
Listening to Rucci bang on about Georgiades for 10 minutes having to go to WCE to get JHF over the line, I have come to the conclusion
1. He has no idea, or
2. Cripps has asked him to run interference, or more likely
3. He has drafted up an article, that basically says look how great Port's trading is, they got a pick 1 player in JHF out of North and didn't give up a player. No one else in the history of the game has done a deal like this, type of article for the Port website.
I later said I expect an article saying how brilliant we were in not giving up Georgiades to get WCE to budge, by 11am tomorrow at the latest, either on the club's website or Indaily.
I looked at the club website at 11am and nothing there. Looked at Indaily at 12noon and nothing there. Waited to get the email from Indaily, Big Footy kept crashing, still is, email came in at 12.37 and nothing there. Was about to start this post and said I better look at the club's website one last time and indeed Rucci has written an article and it was time stamped Just Now.
He had prepared an article long before the deal was approved - but its about our past trading success and only a cursory nod to the mega deal getting achieved. s**t he wasn't being his usual Machiavellian self, he really has no idea how trades work.
The AFL trade period: More complicated than ever, but never dull
AFL trade periods are becoming more sophisticated - or more complicated, depending on the point of view. But the fans' interest keeps rising, as do the stakes of the list managers needing to close the deals.www.portadelaidefc.com.au

I wonder which other 8 teams Matt has in the top 4?
Good thing I missed the first 20 of those years I guess.I've listened to him for must be on 30 years at trade time and can confirm he genuinely has no idea.
Slight correctionI've listened to him for must be on 30 years at trade time and can confirm he genuinely has no idea.

Did he mistake the West Lakes Shore Footy Club (before they merged with SMOSH) for the Crows? He came back from the US just around the time the crows were being formed and claimed they would be called the Lakers (West Lakes) and their colours would be blue, green and white.
It's been an unbroken line of mis-steps since then.
I remember seeing a Guernsey with those colours and in a picture frame at Adelaide Oval last year in the upper level of the Riverbank Stand. On the picture frame were the words adelaide football clubHe came back from the US just around the time the crows were being formed and claimed they would be called the Lakers (West Lakes) and their colours would be blue, green and white.

He wasn't completely off with that one. That was the original plan but the public reaction was so negative they fell straight back onto pilfering the state iconography and calling themselves the team for all south strayans. He came back from the US just around the time the crows were being formed and claimed they would be called the Lakers (West Lakes) and their colours would be blue, green and white.

How he came to get that lucrative secondment to the US from his relatively junior role in the Adelaide News/Advertiser is a story in itself. But I won't repeat it here because it would be ear-say.He came back from the US
Yep. Here it is. Ain't it a beauty? He wasn't completely off with that one. That was the original plan but the public reaction was so negative they fell straight back onto pilfering the state iconography and calling themselves the team for all south strayans.
There's a crows history section in the corridor at the back of level three of the riverbank stand ( right by the toilets, appropriately) where you can see an actual mock up of the original guernsey.
They were chasing a Bupa sponsorship.Lol looks like a flatlining ECG
And damning to think that, for all its ugliness, that jumper is as close as the Crows have ever got to doing something original in brand promotion and marketing in their 30 year franchise history.Lol looks like a flatlining ECG

"AFL List Guru"
I thought the term guru stopped being a term of reverence sometime in the 1970s when guys like the Maharishi and Rajneesh were called out for being dirty old men.Heard him refer to this years potential WA draftee Reuben GINBEY as Reuben ‘Bazinga’.
