This is a club established on the back of claims of unfairness and treachery. A club founded on the back of court action to claim the hard work and success of others for themselves.

Whining and taking matters to court when they don't go their way is embedded in their DNA. And a statewide media infrastructure has been built to support the myth of entitlement.

Expecting them to act like mature professionals in a national sporting competition in a game dominated by guesses, miss-calls and vagaries of the bounce of an oval shaped ball is the equivalent of expecting an emu to fly.
Great post. Also dragged kicking and screaming to AO, off the back of much of the hard work of our club.

Penbo must be copping it at home.
Yep - Crows Board member Kate Ellis has clearly given the conjugal ultimatum..

Lol. The AFL want the Swans in the finals more than any non Victorian team. Rowe is such an imbecile.
Yeah, as far as the V(A)FL are concerned, now they aren't complete shit, they are still 'South Melbourne Bloods', UNLESS they are playing a Vic side in the finals. Their hierarchy of wanted winners is Big Vic club >>>>>>> Little Vic club > Sydney >> West Coast (money spinner) >>> Adelaide (still falsely perceived as the much bigger club in SA) > GC/GWS (prop up their babies) > Brisbane (for the tenuous Fitzroy link) > Fremantle/Port.

Maybe could swap Adelaide and GC/GWS. All I know is us and Fremantle are bottom. You could even argue Fremantle ahead of us, so the AFL can try and ride the 'emotion' of their first flag. Whilst there are ten Vic clubs we're never pushing into the first two ranks of importance. With money their secondary KPI after the unwritten Vics first, the best we can hope for is to stop ****ing up our chances and show the 'Adelaide is so much bigger' is no longer applying and either get us up to equal with them (or more likely dragging them down to the bottom of the heap with us).

All I know is until the Vic's aren't the majority we're dead last for finals wins wanted by them and grouped with Freo, GWS and GC, for filling in the H&A fixture after all the clubs they care about are sorted.

Sick do death of them stating it as fact. If it were a goal, Sydney surely still had a chance to score again in the remaining time, unlikely but definitely possible. They live in an entitled sooky dream world.

Yep, either or both sides could have scored again in the time remaining.

Media have missed the fact that Cows would have missed the finals anyway. Sydney 8th on 59 points two games clear of Cows. Still reportin g tonight that they would have been in finals but for the denied goal. All the anger and outcry for nothing!!!

Look at the ladder, they would have missed the finals anyway even if they got that win.

Who knows how it may have ended - there were still 71 seconds left after the point/goal was scored - but if the Criers did get the win they would have finished on 48 points and Sydney 46.

Even if they won that game they still missed the finals,. Media in Adelaide are still promoting the anger, Sydney 8th are on 50 points, with an extra win Cows would only have 48 points.

No - Sydney would only be 46 points. FFBS

The other variable is, Sydney treat the visit of Melbourne as ‘must win’ rather than ‘would be preferable’ coming off six-in-a-row and a trio of heartstoppers.
