What the hell was Stefan Martin doing there? Haha.

I know it's Melbourne's home ground, and Demon fans apparently have some abject fear of travelling to the other side of the CBD, but I really find it hard to justify the use of the MCG for this fixture.

Are you aware that the break even crowd for Etihad is higher than the G? It's about 10k less because the G can close off areas quite easily.

Melbourne Football Club have played at the MCG for 150 years.

The end.

Shut up. You're a flog.

You're an idiot.

It's the type of fixture that would have been a Melbourne home game at Princes Park in the mid-'90s (Melbourne hosted 7 home fixtures there between 1992-1996, 5 of which were against fellow Victorian sides). Again, I (probably naively) though the purpose of having a second, smaller stadium was to host potentially lower-drawing fixtures.

Stop trolling

I'm not. I'm watching a 100,000 seat stadium that looks 2/3rds empty on tele, and wondering aloud, that's all. No big knock on your club, it just seems a bit of a stretch to justify the MCG's use for a potentially low-drawing fixture, that's all, traditional home and MCC notwithstanding.

I'll admit, I don't know the exact economics, but fair enough if that's one of the reasons for it.

Maybe that's a mistake of the AFL, agreeing to such a deal, which causes logic to be defied and makes it prohibitive for lower-drawing fixtures to be played at the smaller stadium.

Hogan up and about. Jayden Hunt looks an exciting type. Dees need that run. Where the hell did he come from?
Project player. Drafted 2013, spent two years learning the craft at Casey.

7 games in 5 years?

Real strong argument you have there

Well, I'm just saying that it's not unprecedented to disregard traditional home ground, and use a smaller venue for a potentially lower-drawing fixture,

No, it's not what you're saying, you are obviously trolling, it's very clear.

The reason why other clubs had to play home games at that shit hole was the agreement that the VFL had with them to play a minimum number of games there. It had nothing to what anything else
