Very interesting side for tomorrow night versus the Tigers.

Mick sure is sticking to his " Horses For Courses Policy "

Medhurst has been struggling in the seniors but DID kick 4 goals against the Tigers earlier in the year on one leg. Probably won us the game.

Toovey has been pretty average in recent times playing for Willi, but did debut against the Tigers in the same game & kicked a few goals..

Did Mick do the right thing in regards to these two players being in the side for tomorrow night..

you could say the same about Licuria with the likes of Kane Johnson, Foley, Tivendale etc... in the tigs midfield

I think he is being slightly experimental especially in regards to giving Toovey a go and giving Medhurst another chance especially with Didak out. We can afford to do this against Richmond.

Willy had the bye last week.

I'm surprised they picked Toovey because IMHO his form hasn't warranted it. Mostly I'm just disappointed because I've been waiting for Wellingham to get his chance.

I'm not sure Mick knows who his best 22 is yet. Still throwing it around at the moment to come up with the best combo for finals footy I suspect. Toovey? Who knows. He must be a really nice bloke.

Could Toovey and Licca be fighting for the same spot in the 22 later in the season as the tagger/hard midfield body? i doubt it i would say if you were going to play one or the other Licca would be streaks ahead atm.

Happy to give Clarke a rest this week. His speed will be important in the next 2 months. For gods sake keep medhurst on the ground and lets see if he can play, 10 mins here and there is no way to get a guy into form. He did a couple of good things last week but its gets lost when he only has a handful of poss. Toovey and Lica playing for the one spot both wont play in the side together come finals.

Richmond's defensive talls are pissweak. Monster them with Rocc, Trav and Josh and leave "Life Of" to ruck 70%+.

I also would have liked to see some Dick tonight too.... Seriously though, Richmond have plenty some 'smallish' bodied players...Edwards, Connors, King, Raines and others, might have suited Dick, and he also debuted against the Tigers earlier in the year. Love his enthusiasm too.

Why is toovey in apart from willy's last game his form hasnt been very good and wellingham and iles have been great i would of brought 1 of those 2 and i agree on medhurst play him in the 50 as a leading target and see what he can do u wtach if he gets some confidence before the finals he will be sensational for us

Yeh i think Bryan and Fraser will rotate foward to stretch the very undersized Richmond defence, would love to see Maxwell foward as an attacking stopper on Polak. Maxxy will provide a good target make Polak accountable and stop him racking up cheap possies. That leaves Bowden and thursfield for Cloke and Rocca, Fraser or Bryan would stretch them beyond there limits. I think with that side Shaw Davis Thomas Didak and possibly Medhurt will rotate through the center otherwise we have no real classy ball winners in there. Thomas had career high possies against tiges earlier this year. Licca and Toov's playing tagging roles O'bree swanny and one of the others rotating through the center

No I didn't say they should be in the 22, I said that if Fraser was in doubt, then Richards would most likely be an emergency. This meaning you would think Fraser would play.

I Agree 100% nothing would scare me more than to see both Richards and Bryan in the same side rucking.
But i think if we are to do something in the finals Fraser will need a rest soon to be 100% come finals time......
