Barras always said 50/50. He rarely gets anything wrong.

50/50 means he gets half.

It’s done we can both move on. You should all go camping!
Can you show me the paperwork. Stop reading the #Bluemour thread. #Bluemour is not a thing

I think some posters were deluded into thinking pick 1 was really up for grabs, and are now chucking a hissy fit because that isn’t happening (and never realistically was). Pick 13 and McAdam is a win win for both clubs, and it’ll be interesting to see if we try bundle up first round picks to get into the top 5.
You think people are deluded for trying to get pick 1 then you post this

Is pick 13 and 16 for Gold Coast’s pick 3 a realistic possibility?

I cant see any pick above 6 being given to another club.

What specific need does McAdam fill?

What are of weakness are we fixing by Drafting (and presumably playing) him?

Small forward would be the go here, and quite likely it's a small forward that can be both a defensive and offensive threat. I.e. The Cameron sized hole in our lineup.

I suspect that both of those picks won't be enough to turn into 13, I wouldn't be surprised if we have to give up pick 21 along with either 26 or 28 to get our hands on 13.

Hope I'm wrong though

13 is coming from Sydney, who wouldn't care because they only need 20s picks for academy points for Blakey.

Put it this way - we were much happier to keep Cameron if a trade couldn’t eventuate than we are with Gov

Make of that what you will

Don’t shoot the messenger

You made all this up, including anointing yourself as messenger to make it sound more credible

There is no corroboration of your theory at all, it’s just another manufactured fiction. Like Shiel being offered 80% more money, no bidding war for Gov, only 1 club interested etc

Stick to facts and when you’re theorising at least be honest about it.

I see a lot of "would this combination of teens picks get us in the Top 5" posts.

This is a superdraft. If we want Top 5 we'd need to give up 4 picks inside 20 to be even a remote chance. And a List Manager would never do that, nor should he.

Superdraft for only the SA clubs. It's pretty regular for everyone else.

Really, the big question is what are Saints and Gold Coast doing with the top 5 picks. Gold Coast have two so may be pliable to trading 3. Saints list is a mess so 4 may happen to be fair game, especially seeing they go from pick 4 to pick 60.

Not quite as quick as Charles obviously, but more tricks in his bag

Nah, that'd work. Really, all that matters for Sydney is just making up the points for Blakley, and that trade is a positive points wise.

I might be in the minority here but I am a MASSIVE fan of Shiel. He is such a gun player. Have always hoped to get him to the Crows one day (as far fetched as that has always been). Just an absolute jet!

He is a jet with a Jenkins like Finals record. He’s got a few monkeys to get off his back in September

Can seriously play no doubt

You are extremely naive on this topic Sanders

Let’s see if Gov ends up being traded for 4-7 pick or stays if no club will give us that pick

Or what I’ve been saying all along pick 10-15 + McAdam

Ps McGovern won’t be playing for ya next year - I don’t know how many times I have to say it

That’s pure hyperbole. And no interstate club is taking Rankine in the top 5 knowing he’ll be extremely likely to return home after 1 or 2 years.

Why does it have to be top end ?? The Govs themselves weren't drafted high..... Gov Snr was drafted as a rookie.

But then of course they are scrubs

So your argument now is that you think we shouldn't judge the value of assets by their current asset?

And you think this is a cogent point in your favour?

Interested to know how and where you see so much of McAdam play to be so certain of your opinion.

Apologies if you’ve already posted this. As someone that has seen him week in week out as a player in your beloved club, what do you think his value is in the main draft? Is he going to kick 30+ goals for us next year do you think?

I have had him as on my wish list for our last pick or a rookie since the crows played you guys in the first fixture.
