Nah, he just has to do a Cameron-like deal again. Sit tight to the end, stick to your price, and wait for the buyer to come up to your valuation.

I agree with this completely. There’s no rush, we don’t need to do extra trades, they do! We can sit right back and we bloody should too.

Got a bad feeling were going to accept either one or two of the picks in the 20's and this deal will be done.

Don't believe were going to get a top 10 pick. There talking up mcadam way to much

If those 2 can go to Sydney for 13 then weve done well........if.

Everyone has talked up Shane this year, reality is only a couple of teams are now a chance of getting him.

You’ve been a misery guts all afternoon about this despite the word that it may well be 13 and McAdam - how about wait until the deals done?

And a question for you all - what are the rules on trading picks to a club that you got them from in the first place?

Everyone, the media etc are making it seem like we need to get a deal done.

We don't. Carlton do.

We don't have to do anything. We already have the player. For 2 more years.

If they can't come up with a satisfactory offer they can try again next year like we did with Gibbs.

I don't see how this is lost on the vicco media or football public when the parallels are so blatantly obvious.

Gov played the same amount of games this year as he did last year, and youd say this year was catastrophic would you not ??

The kid is a talent, but if hes the crucial point to our forwardline then we are in strife.

He played his role. Everyone played their role.

They were constructing a very secure forward line for the future where someone could take thst next step when someone retired.

Where have you heard Pick 13 and how are they pulling this off?

If it is Pick 13. were probably planning to bundle 2 picks to most likely st kilda to get pick 4.

Apologies if you’ve already posted this. As someone that has seen him week in week out as a player in your beloved club, what do you think his value is in the main draft? Is he going to kick 30+ goals for us next year do you think?

I have had him as on my wish list for our last pick or a rookie since the crows played you guys in the first fixture.
Where he fits in this years draft is hard to say, it’s a solid draft and I don’t know how he is rated in the industry. I think this year with mature age players is a bit skewed by the priority picks, Kelly from Geelong and Ryan from WC both doing well as mature picks. I think there’s a bit of sugar being blown up People’s arses around the mature age priority picks this year.

As for Shane himself I rate him. He has a great leap, good contested mark, bit of pace, good kick for goal, great tackling and second efforts and seems hungry and has a head on his shoulders. He came to SA late in pre season in 2017, (via an ex Sturt player), a bit too late for Sturt to pick him up, they told him to stick around, play ammos and get fit. He did and he’s made the most of his opportunity and done it the hard way. Kudos to him.
In any normal year I’d think he’d go in the 40’s 50’s or rookie pick.
Where he sits now is up to clubs that want him. If the deal for McGovern is as has been mentioned (two second round picks and McAdam) and they’re traded to Sydney for 13, then I think that gives a fair worth of McAdams worth to Adelaide.
I will say that the horse trading of these mature players the AFL is pushing is a pretty poor look and the PA should be having something to say about it.
