Heres your problem. Graham Cornes is very close friends with Ross. After the trade fell through Cornes was on the radio and said he spoke to Ross and he said that Bryce was livid at how he was treated by Carlton.
So please, you have very little understanding about why he asked for a trade and how pissed he was that Carlton disregarded the serious issues they were dealing with.

SOS does seem to have a way of attracting ex GWS talent to Carlton.
He brought in Jaksch, Palmer, Whiley, Sumner, Phillips , Lamb, Pickett, Plowman, Marchbank and Kennedy.
Great haul there and left the scraps for Collingwood...Treloar, Adams and Hoskin- Elliott.
He certainly has an elite eye for talent...Kerridge, Wright...

Think about all the players that “genius” SOS had gifted from GWS for SFA then Carlton fans act like they won the draft, then compare that to Collingwood, who actually paid fairer picks for - Treloar, Hoskin Elliot, Adams.....
