Traded Mitch McGovern [traded to Carlton in a three-way trade involving Sydney and McAdam]

Since always. What crap have I been reading here from crows fans?

- McGovern is only wanting to go to Carlton for the money. Who would want to go to Carlton?
- They won't ever see finals in his career.
- Wooden spoons for many years to come.
- McGovern would be their best player.
- Carlton's best 22 is that bad.
- Charlie is a midfielder and McGovern is much better than him.

Blah, blah, blah. I think people need to look in their own backyard before they give others crap.

Don't include me in your pathetic little rant, I've been painstakingly objective throughout this thread until certain morons who support your club began doing their utmost to derail any semblance of logic here.

Please provide me a clear example of when what you are claiming has ever eventuated with any one player, genius? :drunk:

I don’t need to provide you an example, the risk is always there.
An unhappy player that doesn’t believe in the club anymore playing a team sport, geez I wonder what could possibly go wrong lol

This is going to be a circus! Especially with McGoverns manager working with trade radio.

Please just get the deal done on day 1 somehow. Mid first round for both of our seconds, pass it on to Adelaide along with a pact to not trade with each other for the next 5 years.
Nah, F*** that... let’s drag it out till the last 5 minutes of the trade window to reek havoc with any other plans sos may have!...

Deflate them .. he’s with the raa

Good times perhaps he missed this.

MITCH MCGOVERN HITS BACK AT CLAIMS

“I know that Kane Cornes and Malcolm Blight and a few blokes in Adelaide have said he’s absolutely leaving for money,” he said.

“If he was going to leave for money, he would’ve got an extra million dollars to go to Fremantle last year so that’s just rubbish.”

“He’s on a very good contract at the Crows, it’s extremely good, so it’s definitely not about the money.”

“He believes, professionally, in the next two or three years with him down forward that he’ll make a difference and bring Carlton back to where they should be as an elite club in the AFL.”

Young said there was “a lot of reasons” McGovern had chosen to leave Adelaide despite signing a new contract just last year, with the failed pre-season camp “a little bit of that”.

Then don't add your pathetic 'crystal ball' crap to it then.

Adelaide supporters have been no better than anybody else here.

I really dont want to deflate your tyres as this is too easy.
This comment can loosely be translated too...

“Oh... shit.. well that fell flat so, ummm, I’ll just say something that makes it sound that I’ve got a really good comeback and I just couldn’t be bothered writing it”...

That is way overs for MM, he isn't worth that much.

If we can't get it done with 1 of those picks and the state league top up it isn't worth it, just forget him and move on to more important needs.

Umm yeah it sort of does.

Like I said to someone else earlier, if I need to sell my house but someone only has a certain amount that’s less than what I ask for, I can either sell my house for a discount, or hold onto it for longer hoping that some other person will come along and offer me the price I want, which there is no guarantee will happen.

So, the supply and demand dictates the market price, if you can get another club to offer what you are asking for before Mitch’s price starts to decline then do it, otherwise you’ll have to decide if taking a discount now is better than a potentially bigger loss in future.

Happens everyday like this in the real world :)
Nope ....you assume a single buyer ? .....this is why properties are auctioned

This is how it works in the real world ;)

I won’t believe that McGovern signed a contract with no manager present but if true you want wont it to drag out that long... His manager will drag you through the coals with everything they have before the first week is up.

So your entire argument is based on nothing but pure hypotheticals.... and I'm the naive one :drunk:

You ever heard of professionalism in an elite performance industry? Clearly not...

Go study the recent history of the NBA, or the EPL even, and you'll find dozens of cases proving the antithesis of what you're claiming. You don't get out much do you son? Need to break out of that blurred little Blues bubble you've been cooped up in for too long o_O

Ok, I’ll just wait for the grownups to reply.
Forgot it was school hols.
Apologies
FMD... does mummy still wipe your bum for you too?..

What’s wrong with you looking him up and educating yourself?.. why should I do all the work for you?.

If someone puts the name of someone up on this site that I don’t know.. I bloody get to work and google it.

Dont expect everything to be handed to you on a platter.

So if I’m a footy player and I want to re-sign to a new contract.. I can’t ring up my manager and say “I’m re-signing with the crows.. just done my side of the paper work.. can you get over here and sign your side”.. I’ve actually gotta have my manager present?...

Not that it matters now because your bullshit story has been blown to smitherines about 5 comments ago..

No its part of the policies and procedures. He reportedly was coerced into signing after a game by senior club officals without his manager present. Cant do that, sorry. His manager and the club may have tidied everything up in the following days but the rumour is it wasnt signed with manager present. Dont shoot the messenger.

Great then line up all your buyers for McGovern and make us outbid them if we want him.

Seeing as McGovern has nominated us and let everyone know who he would prefer to play for, I’m not so sure your other buyers would be so quick to give what you are asking for, but I could be wrong.

Let the auction begin....

Then don't add your pathetic 'crystal ball' crap to it then.

Adelaide supporters have been no better than anybody else here.

Did you even read the idiocy of the comment I was responding to? If not, stick to fighting your own battles perhaps.

Walk away then, 200 players were selected before he finally got a gig and he has done nothing but show potential and a history of injuries.

He is not worth half as much as these crows fans want.
And that’s fine.. we’ll keep him then.. that’s what most crows fans want anyway!...

And next season he’ll help us flog the living hell out of Carlton again.. like he did this past season.

Close thread/

Doesn't matter one bit, you don't go paying over double a players worth.

You really think SOS will approve of such an attrocity?

We will find a deal thats fair.. they definitely deserve to get ripped a new @sshole the way they treat players but dont think its going to happen this time.
