Of their Premiership winning side, 9 will be 30+ next year. That doesn’t include Adams, who didn’t play but is absolutely best 18.

To illustrate how dire it’s gonna get, here are the 10 with their successors that are on their current list (that didn’t play yesterday, obviously):
Scott Pendlebury - Fin Macrae
Jeremy Howe - Trey Ruscoe
Steel Sidebottom - John Noble
Mason Cox - Oscar Steene
Jamie Elliot - Trent Bianco?
Brodie Mihochek - Ash Johnson
Tom Mitchell - Reef McInnes
Will Hoskin Elliot - Arlo Draper
Taylor Adams - Ed Allan
Jack Crisp - Jakob Ryan

They are deadset cooked with that list profile! They’ve pulled it off this year and that’s what they’ll be judged on but wow, if the Lions knocked them off we’d have had years and years to hold over them.

It was a great game though and they did deserve to win, and were very fun to watch. But wowee we could’ve had a golden era of taunting the black and white army had they lost in the last minute then fell away to obscurity for years.
I was going to share this myself 😂. The player match ups are something else!

Not to mention we brought in 5 players this year. All would have played in the GF if not for injury to mcstay. So yeah. There’s this thing called trades..

Complaining about our father sons is rich

1) Picken?
2) Jake Kelly?
3) Callum Brown?
4) Tyler Brown?
5) Will Kelly?

We’ve had just as many (if not more) misses than hits with father sons. Both in the ones we selected and the ones we didn’t.

Not only that, you have to develop them too. Look at Josh Daicos. Buckley absolutely butchered his development. Playing both Callum Brown and Tom Phillips ahead of him for years.

If you wanna blame anyone for your father son woes, blame your own players and your coaches. Not us.

This Prendercast campaigner is a full on salty Carlton nuff and as the tweet mentions, he legit said that Marc Murphy was better than Pendles lol. I think yesterday puts that argument to bed

There'd be 2 thing's that Smurphy does better than Pendles - Jumping at shadows and September sightseeing

Absolute rubbish. That’s not how the system works. Nobody will bother bidding that late just for the sake of it, knowing it will be matched anyway.
It’s happened before, so yes, it’s exactly how the system works.

My enjoyment of yesterday was somewhat curtailed by the missus organising a get together with the family of my son's best friend (who are fairly passive Carlton fans) and a couple of other neutrals (or so I thought)...........I worked until 1pm and wanted to be where my son was going so I relented and agreed.

Imagine my surprise when I arrive and they've invited every freakin Carlton supporter in the neighbourhood. I wish I'd stayed home by myself . The roof went off the joint when Cameron kicked his goal with a few minutes to go.

I really do wish it had been a shellacking of Carlton (as it would've been) .
Yeah but how sweet was it when we won and you got to witness so much Carlton disappointment firsthand?

Adam H made an appearance anywhere yet?
Pretty sure he’s posting as a Melbourne supporter “ChristianBoy” now because his St Kilda accounts get insta banned.

Disingenuous at best. Josh had massive issues with his asthma, and consequently fitness in his early years, to the point where he could barely run out games. Once he got that right he was almost immediately in the 22. If anything, Buckley handled his early development extremely well.

Not really in the mood for arguing but just because a player doesn’t get bid on doesn’t mean they would not have been drafted anyway in the absence of a father son system. There are lots of reasons for clubs bidding on players.

I was always going to love a flag of ours, but being present on BigFooty for it has made it the tiniest pinch sweeter. We have turned the majority of certain fanbases into complete morons. They've gone from supposedly somewhat adjusted human beings to shit-flinging monkeys in the blink of an eye.

Imagine getting this upset about somebody else winning! Long may it continue

Oppo supporters dont actually watch the Pies play in GFs. They stare blankly at TVs with raging hate boners

My favourite part of this is that old mate was in such a rush to rubbish our future that he basically admitted that we won the flag without Adams as an important best 18 player even out there! 😂

(Personally, he sits in that 16-22 range and probably has to fight tooth and nail all year for his spot next year, but I back Tay to do it, spurred on by missing out here)

Come on man, let’s stop trying to deal in hypotheticals and work with reality. No clubs felt that Josh was worth bidding on. We selected him ourselves. These are the facts, no idea why anyone would argue otherwise than to argue for the sake of it.

I think that much like WHE, who many people over the past few years have wanted to be pushed out (including myself at times), Adams is valued far more highly internally than he is by the average punter.
I don’t think he has to fight tooth and nail for his spot at all. If fit, he plays.

Carltank board. Brisbane didn’t give a yelp on Saturday, not even when they couldn’t miss from anywhere on the park. Certainly not when Cameron kicked triple the goals he managed in the Prelim, or Daniher was marking everything in sight. They only bothered to play well against the cheats.

Funny thing is if Brissy played at that level against Carlton they'd towel the scum up by 7-8 goals

As I said, not in the mood for an argument and not sure why you feel the need to start one.

Anyone seen the movie Ace Ventura and remember the scene with Ray Finkle's bedroom? He has a shrine of hatred dedicated to the guy he blames for his team losing the superbowl.

I can only assume some of these posters here (who seem to spend every waking minute hating on the pies) would have an anti-collingwood equivalent at their place 😆
