Wines looks like logical captain
I was surprised he did that to the Eagles tbh.Yeah, it’s interesting, he looked really fit prior to the season during preseason, but then on the weekend, not as such!
Definitely no surprise at all. I (along with other WCE supporters) are grateful to him for his efforts in 2018, will always be part of our history etc. but yeah, the way in which he departed has left a bitter taste to be honest.
Not workingI thought wines gave up the captaincy as it effected his game too much? They did have joint captains for one year there
Was the clear turning point in the game. He marks and goals and the result could have flipped the other way!

Koch - Cornes calls out chairman’s “stupid” comments after he “felt the angst”He has his favourites. He’d never criticize Ken, Kochie, Davies, Rozee of JHF.
I would not put it past JHF to jump ship if port finish outside the 8 for the next couple of years.I think Hinkley will go to the Gold Coast in some capacity. I'm not a huge Josh Carr fan as a coach but looks like he is heading for the senior role.
What they still have going for them is Rozzee and JHF are elite players that they will be able to retain for their entire career.
History shows that Kane folded after getting pressure from the club after that “Harden Up” episode
Nah he's secured the bag. Time will tell if that makes him a jogger for the next 5 years.I would not put it past JHF to jump ship if port finish outside the 8 for the next couple of years.
They are going to have to watch butters...i have a hunch that he might be tempted to leave to go back to victoria along with a few others in the next offseason or 2...they had better be careful or that rebuild could have the wheels start to fall off...they are nit really going anywhere and just wont pull the trigger to get rid of kenNah he's secured the bag. That was after he tried the tough guy act and picked a fight.Houston also pretended to cop a head knock in the 4th quarter too. Around 8:40 left.

He will be gone this year, there’s no way they could give him another contract. I think they don’t have the money to sack him now, they’d have to pay Carr more money to take over for the rest of the season. Port will have a new coach next year, the writing is on the wall, unfortunately, I’ll miss hinkley in the box drinking his cokeThey are going to have to watch butters...i have a hunch that he might be tempted to leave to go back to victoria along with a few others in the next offseason or 2...they had better be careful or that rebuild could have the wheels start to fall off...they are nit really going anywhere and just wont pull the trigger to get rid of ken
That’s relevant? He’s a quality player. Has enough seniority in that group to be captain, would certainly be a better choice than Jonas. The worst Brownlow medal winner since Woewodin?

If they still had Robbie Gray, they winSo pivotal. 12 minutes to go it turned a 10 point lead into a 2 point deficit. From the dropped mark onwards we kicked 6 goals to their 2 points.
Ya wanna talk about season defining moments - thats a significant one.
If they still had Robbie Gray, they win
Reckon we’ll be saying that a lot
And that seems to be totally forgotten, they lost Gray and Amon who were replaced by JHF (who will be good but not yet) and Junior Willy. In addition, Boak is another year older and won’t be the dominant player he once was.
So are they stronger or weaker this year? I’m going with the latter.
And us? We are definitely a stronger team with Rankine added plus natural growth.
Cornes said on Footy Classified, Boak is playing soreBoak is a shell of his former self. I think his rib injury is worse than they are letting on.
