It's a Neeld-era-esque hot mess at Arden Street at the moment. Will be interesting to see who puts their hand up for that coaching role though. Really can't see them going with a rookie coach (and, to be honest, if you're a rookie coach applying for that role you're a lunatic).

Yeah I thought it was a bit rich from Ross Lyon to have a crack at aspiring coaches who wouldn't take the North job. Bloke has only ever looked at jobs from clubs approaching their window.

It’s just strange to go through all the processes and steps in modern day footy of hiring a senior coach then decide after 38 games it was the wrong choice. As he said when asked, 38 games isn’t an adequate amount of time to be judged on.

It’s a pretty bleak job vacancy if you are required to turn everything around at a rubble club in under 2 seasons.

Neeld had 2 total disasters of seasons, coming in with some expectations of moderate success (I.e. challenging for finals). Noble was hired off the back of a 3 won season in 2020. North were bad last year but made a decent fist of their last couple of months. This year has been shit but did anyone expect anything better?

Neeld was a good part of the reason for the club being shit. Lost the playing group, terrible recruiting, trading away picks for dud Collingwood ex mates like Dawes. Not sure you can say the same about Noble.

North wouldn't have won a game if West Coast weren't playing a WAFL side early this year. Gold Coast weren't too bad in 2013 won 8 games and absolutely destroyed us.

I actually think when you compare North's performances to ours in 2013 and you compare the lists the two sides had it actually looks worse on Noble. Their current list should be way more competitive. Apart from Saturday they haven't even been in games since like round 4.

North might be good in certain roles but I don't see much of a case for him as a coach.

Nobody said extend him, it shows the players hadn't quit on him however.

Yeah anywhere between 4-7 wins would be fine for them at this stage. There would be other markers as well such as development of players, percentage etc.
