I kind of expected them to be a bit better. Probably because I believe all the optimistic lunatics talking about their teams prospects on the main board every offseason

Every club needs a pessimistic lunatic like Danster to bring some perspective.

North's core isn't that bad: Simpkin, LDU, Tarryn Thomas, Horne-Francis, Greenwood, McKay, Zurhaar, Zerri are all decent players with some upside. Will Phililps and Tom Powell are two highly-rated young midfielders who haven't played at all this year too, who should get better luck. If Cunnington comes back that's also a huge win.

A good coach should get their team playing above their individual talents - if North got Clarko, for example, I could see them winning 6 games next year and improving from there.

Interesting to see Choco overwhelmingly leading the poll on the Norf board for who they want as next coach.

Really weird imo, perfect development coach as proven with us but no way could he be a senior coach again. Strange tbh

Would be a disaster but interesting to watch from a safe distance

Yeah it's funny hey, he was languishing in the VFL for years before Goodwin threw him a lifeline, and he's literally running kicking drills at the Dees.

Now he's a senior coach in waiting, I love it.

Some serious amnesia in here. Neeld got 32 and we all wanted him gone. North have been belted every week.

North have luckily never had the misfortune of a Neeld. Nobody did as badly before and has ever done since, he was an exception that shouldn’t be a marker point for aspiring coaches.

As bad as noble, Waters, primus and Bolton all have been, even statistically, nothing is comparable with neeld.

Neeld indirectly recruited a whole heap of players either second chance, or mature age. Guys desperate for their shot and to prove they could perform at the highest level, and he sucked the life out of even them. And that's not including the guys that had just been through baileys years.

I don't know what happened at essendon when he went there either, but a mate of mines brother played there the same era, and he described him as "a ****ing nutcase".

There were whispers before the team had even played a game under him of confusion and players being a bit off side, I remember thinking surely he can't be that bad ... how wrong I was.

Moneyball man. Just needed more time to let them click as a team and the premierships would roll in. Sacked too early. If they had persisted like Richmond with Dimma there's no doubt we would have had multiple flags since then. Weak admin killed us.

Wonder why our players didnt give Neeld the same send off? Almost like they didnt respect him.
Who says they knew Neeld was leaving before his final game?

Kangas had to sack him because they were playing way way below their talent level or year. Game against the pies proved how much better they could have been.

However head in the sand if they think it's all his fault, the list management was a disgrace an they did him no favours at all.

Didnt realise Leigh Adams was taking over as interim coach til I heard it this arvo, ****ing loved him as a player, was like the forward version of Beau Waters.

Wasn't that they year they were taking performance enhancing drugs too?

Go Dees!
Started in 2011 when Hird became coach and bomber thompson came in just by chance, he was looking at cars near windy Hill apparently. Anyway bomber was the man who introduced the club to Dean Robinson whom he worked with at Geelong and the rest is history.
