As for your whining about Round 22, 2008... That was Buddy Franklin's night to be feted for kicking 100 goals in a season. Why should Brendon f**kin Fevola have been allowed to steal Buddy's thunder by being gifted a bunch of junktime goals in a shitty one-sided game that was all over by half time? Clarkson fully understood that and many Hawthorn fans at the game felt the same way. We didn't want Fev getting all the glory. Which he would've if he had kicked one more goal. That's not being spiteful for the sake of being spiteful. That's just one football tribe defending their patch.

Personally, I am glad that Lance Franklin is the "last man to kick 100 goals in a season". Even though he left us, I am glad it is him who holds that title and not f**kin Fev.

Of course, the neutrals like you were barracking for Fev to kick his 100th that night. But if you were in our shoes, you would've felt the same way as us. Let's say David Neitz had managed to produce a 100 goal season. You would want him to get all the accolades and headlines. You wouldn't want a turd like Fevola to weasel his way to 100 on the same night and grab all the headlines.

It was the last game of the H&A season and Hawthorn was in flag mode. The Hawks put the Blues to the sword early on in that game. The score was 10.7 to 3.5 just before half time... Game over. The second half was glorified circle work. 16.13 (109) to 8.6 (54) at 3/4 time... Hawthorn ended up winning 24.15 (159) to 12.9 (81).

Fevola kicked all 8 of his goals in the second half when Hawthorn players were simply going through the motions with one eye on finals the following week. If the Hawks had been fully serious for 4 quarters; if they had maintained the rage and played "Clarko's Cluster" zone defence, the Blues would've been lucky to finish with 7 goals and Fevola would've probably managed to kick just 2 or 3. So much for Clarkson "blowing the game up"... Pfft. Get real...

Fev's teammates were feeding him at every opportunity in the final quarter. It was farcical. Carlton players weren't kicking the easy open goal from 10m out, but handballing it across Fev... So if they were going to pull that crap, what do you expect from Hawthorn? Just stand back and let Fev get his 100?? LMAO

Fev didn't deserve 100. He was a pisshead clown who was sacked by 2 footy clubs. He totally deserved to be first full forward ever to kick 99 goals.

I wasn't trawling through your board when I opened this thread. I saw the photo of Clarko wearing a Swans scarf and wondered what fellow Hawks fans thought of that, so I used the search for "Clarkson" and Tulip's post was first cab off the rank. I guess you could say I felt triggered when I read his anti-Clarkson take and felt compelled to reply.

Yeah, true although they're the other end of the spectrum as far as consistency goes.

Considering where their list is at I love watching the Crows when they are playing well. The game we lost to them last year was one of the best games of the season. But they look so so poor when they're out of sync.

Noticed that last week watching them. In the first half they must've had a kicking efficiency of 30% and looked woeful. 2nd half they were great to watch, really fast aggressive play.
