shocked to be sitting here, they made the circle to stop these injuries, now they want to change shit again. This is the type of crap that I talk about when I say the game is shit. So reactionary to everything.

It's a very rare occurrence, we've just had a few high profile blokes cop injuries and now the handwringing comes out. Every time a bloke jumps he could land funny and do a knee, it's part of any sport. Can't make rules to prevent every injury, shit just happens sometimes.

Kelli doesn't really bother me at all, play by play she's fine, it's when she starts to get a little too clever like all the cringe moments in that GWS game last year. but that's an issue i have with a lot of commentators, Dwayne is another one that when he just calls and describes the play he's fine, it's when he goes over the top and tries to be clever is when i get annoyed.

Everyone thinks they have the final touch like cometti to call great play by play and then highlight the moment with a bit of class at the end.

This. Even Dennis become something of a self-parody in his final couple of years trying to crowbar in obviously pre-planned puns and phrases. Just calling the play as it unfolds is best, the simple lines are the most remembered imo (13? Thirteeeeen! Leo Barry you star! Bang bang bang bang, etc)

IMO priority picks should come with the caveat that they must be traded for established players.

North should be asked to hand the keys over to the AFL as we did post-Neeld to fix up their admin, footy department. Then if they're still shit after that they can have a priority pick.

Priority picks on their own are useless. If they are given to a club that doesn't need them they are way too big an advantage. If they are a given to a club that isn't run properly they achieve nothing but ruin another kids career.

Gold Coast got a massive package a couple of years back and still haven't improved. Why is this stupid uncreative quick-fix always trotted out whenever a club is shit? There are so many examples of it being an ineffective solution to misunderstood problems.
