Zac Langdon on the move to WCE from GWS - another one for the exodus - ouch!

Are they losing players quicker than North or Essendon?

Not sure where to put this? Maybe there should be a "General Geelong News & Discussion" thread or something:

The Australian is disgusting, but the article isn't too bad, despite its constant use of 'communist' and 'socialist' as bad news

Didn't know that Carter was one of the architects of salary cap etc

With Langdon looking like he'll ask to be traded out of GWS back to WA making a total of 6 players wanting out, I really don't understand how Leon Cameron can keep his job now.

Heard Gill wants to learn lessons from this season when preparing fixtures into the future (ie - being more flexible with games, times, etc.).

"We'll never go back to what it was."

All well and good...but doesn't it just give even more power to the AFL to gimmy a season for the benefit of 7, Fox and themselves?

Whatever 'balance' previous seasons may have had...there won't be any in the future.

Surely someone has to hang around to answer the phone, though.

'Sorry, [Jye/Zac L./Zac W./Jackson/Aidan/Jeremy] isn't here right now. What's that, when will they be back? Umm....'

Well, here's a surprise....

MRP Stats. A total $117,500 including 50% discount was paid up in fines for on field indiscretions this year. Leading the charge by the players were the Richmond trio of Lynch $3,250, Riewoldt $3,000 and Martin $2,750 who were all fined more than the Collingwood team in total at just $2,250.
Breaking down the fines by charge they were Rough Conduct $36,000, Striking $33,000, Engaging in a Melee $19,700, Forceful front on contact $8500 and Contact with an Umpire $5,250 as the major offences. Other offences included Staging, Kicking, Tripping and Wrestling.
If the AFL Ladder was based on fines
1. Richmond
2. Hawthorn
3. Melbourne
4. GWS
5. WCE
6. Brisbane
7. Geelong
8. Fremantle
--------------
9. Carlton
10. Port Adelaide
11. Adelaide
12. North Melbourne
13. Western Bulldogs
14. Gold Coast
15. Essendon
16. St Kilda
17. Sydney
18. Collingwood

HB: Williams Tyson Wilson

B: Plowman Marchbank Corr

F: Lobb Treloar Adams Setterfield

B: Patton Kennedy Bruce Stewart

Hombsch Townsend McCarthy

I do realise that some of these guys are way out of position.

I would feel bad for GWS. Except I don't. Can you imagine having all of Boyd, Cameron, Patton, McCarthy - and then losing all of them.

If this Australia Post discourse is going to continue in here, surely this needs to become the 'Non Geelong Non football (AFL) discussion 2020' thread.

Just because Eddie's on about some issue doesn't mean it has anything whatsoever to do with football.

Gotta agree - discussion has been moved to a more suitable thread
