We're in the flag hunt up to our ears, aren't we? I've been content this year thinking we aren't a genuine chance, and still might be proven right, but the flag race is as open as I can recall, at this stage of a season.

Melbourne fans are barely even that tbh. They've been first on the ladder most of the year and their crowds have been pretty trash.
Dees just don't have a forward-line to be a serious threat at the moment.

Our supporters forget very quickly how mediocre we are when the finals start.
I reckon every other team that slips into the eight would pray they face us in week 1.

We finished top of the ladder a few years ago and faced them as clear favorites week 1 and lost.
Only one team wins it though.

Too right. They do forget that. In fact, now that I think of it you're actually the first Geelong supporter I've heard who has mentioned our poor finals record. I'm sure if I searched this forum for references to it, that search would return zero results, such is the insistence upon putting heads in the sand around here. Well done you for being the lone voice in a wilderness of delusional rose-tinted obliviousness.
