They are $4 to make top 4.
Just put $150 on them a minute ago TAB.Com @ $4

Theve got Nth Melb this week - that is a gift and a % booster - Magpies will be shorter than 4 bucks for the top 4 - come the end of next weekend

You look at Frem who are $1.70 for top 4 - all their remaining games are challenging - and loseable

Magpies have got Melb ( who they did beat comfortably earlier in the year ) however all their other remaining games - i reckon they will start favourite

Lets hope Darcy Moores knees ok - fingers crossed - it is just a hyper extension - which their club thinks it is at this stage

They’ll win their next three but could easily lose their last three. Probably need to win 5 to make top 4.

That's a ballsy bet. Good luck.

I reckon travel may become a factor for a young team like they are. Fly back from Gold Coast to thump North Melbourne but then have to travel to face Adelaide who are pushing teams. Crows biggest weakness is their lack of leg speed and that is what Collingwood have plenty of. Probably top three in the comp for speed.
Bombers at the G is always a 50/50 no matter ladder positions.

I reckon Carlton are in the box seat to finish top four. They have Weitering & Martin returning next week and then Pittonet, E.Curnow & McGovern to return in 2-3 weeks time.
If they go 2-1 in the next three weeks, they are going to have a full list when they meet Brisbane, Collingwood and Melbourne.

Collingwood are a public team, their odds are always shorter than they should be.

They need to win 5 more to make top 4, you would likely get better odds if you just back them to win all of their remaining games individually.

watching the freo port game. Ollie wines took a mark 45m out and hand passed to Houston for the shot at goal.

it got me thinking….I would love to see an analysis of how often this move results in a goal. Maybe my brain is deceiving me but I would guess it works about 15% of the time.
It worked for Michael Osbourne when he handballed it to Luke Hodge in 2008.

LOL

But, but, but.......it wasn't intentional and West staged the whole thing?!

😉

Jake Niall thinks North are in the market for a guy who would command respect the minute he walked in the door. Guys like Gaff and Matt Crouch for mine are the complete opposite. Why wouldn’t they offer the Swans’ Kennedy, Selwood or Pendlebury two years with another 3 as an assistant?

I agree. Selwood would be absolutely phenomenal for North.
Geelong must keep him for life though. He built this club. He's the biggest reason why our culture remains as strong as it has.

The only thing with bringing in a Gaff or Crouch is their age. They still have 2 years of solid football left whereas Selwood and Kennedy are just about done.

Selwood would be absolutely perfect at North for 2 years, if he wanted to do that.
i cant see that happening in a million years.

The tyoe of player Sel is would be great for North yes - but himself being that one to go .... dont see it.
He owns Geelong and can basically write his ticket (within reason) so i cant see why he'd do that.

I don’t know what Joel Selwood is expected to do upon retirement. Will he commentate, become an assistant coach, remain in the game in some capacity or just go **** into thin air like most players? I genuinely have no idea.

Sam Mitchell wanted West Coast so he could have the expertise of another coach before returning to Hawthorn. Pendlebury floated up leaving Collingwood in recent times for similar reasons as he has coaching aspirations, and if Joel had any interest in becoming a coach, then it’s something he would need to think about himself. Nobody here would think lesser of our games record holder and it’d allow us to also pick up another player of similar market value but with a few more years left. Knowing someone like Dangerfield, he would float up Matt Crouch (like Josh Jenkins) & I’d hate myself for even coming up with this hypothetical.

Opposition fans don’t like him due all the free kicks he collects, maybe this could put some respect on his name from the simpletons? At least Selwood wouldn’t chuck a hissy fit mid year like Mitchell did at WC by walking out before they won the flag.

other than cash.. whats he gonna get from it?

Breaks being a one club player.... will get flogged each week with losses.....

not sure he needs to chase respect factor to be honest....

But i can see why North would want him.
