Saints closing in on important milestone. St Kilda are edging closer to celebrating a special milestone after notching their 97th season of missing finals. They have extended their lead once again over rivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Richmond and the Bulldogs who all failed in their quest this year to not make finals by being good instead. Based on projections St Kilda have 4 years before they hit the big milestone (yes we have allowed one year of them making finals) - so get ready to bring out your best Saints gear in 2026 for the expected 100th not making finals year of celebrations.

Do people think we'll play worse then Carlton did today? Didn't kick a goal in the 1st or 4th qtr and lost by 1 point.

We're better than Carlton so should be favourites to win if we play our best.
That same Carlton ran the Demons to 3 points... The same Demons who basically assaulted the Lions at the Gabba.

Match ups are a bigger deal this season than any other season.

That said, should Cameron and Stanley be fit, out starting 22 will win because our ball use going i50 takes away from teams with intercept defenders.

Lingy goes WHACK!

Pies flogs on twitter saying gald Cripps played was done htb cost them the game .lol.

Umm no Charlie Curnow cost them the game .

8. Geelong has an embarrassment of riches

The Cats won by 85 points on Saturday and were missing Jeremy Cameron, Rhys Stanley, Mitch Duncan and Sam Menegola. All bar Stanley is a walk-up start in the Cats' best 22 and all four are expected to be fit for the team's first final= - Trent Masenhelder

Hopefully this guy wrote Stanley instead of Menegola otherwise he should stop writing about Geelong because he knows jack s**t
Trent needs his head checked. Stanley has only really had 4 bad games this year, the rest have been anywhere from good to really good. And while Ceglar is good depth especially if Stanley gets injured, we REALLY need Stanley in V Melbourne because Stanley matches Gawn well.

The same Carlton that's not a top 8 team and not playing finals, and we beat by 5 goals (same as Melbourne)

We played Pies eons ago so I have no clue how well they match up on us this year, but we're the better team and should get it done.

That's the Lingy 7 should have allowed free reign instead of third stooge to Taylor.

Ling a top bloke prob one nicer guys.
Played cricket vs him super nice

But put a TV in he's face he's a different person.

Which team played the most incompetent last few minutes of a game out of these four matches:

Richmond vs. Gold Coast in Round 17
Essendon vs. Collingwood in Round 19
Carlton vs. Melbourne in Round 22
Carlton vs. Collingwood in Round 23

All shambolic implosions so it's hard to pick.
All atrocious losses but I have to go with yesterdays game.
Carlton were in EXACTLY the same situation the week before and didn’t learn from it V Collingwood.
Atrocious.

St Kilda have only made the finals two times more than West Coast. Wow.

Adam Kingsley to coach GWS

That tells me they completely butchered the pill.
No team should EVER lose with those stats. That is almost unheard of.

They were not clean early .
Everytime Cripps got it he had 5 guys hanging off him.

They missed Walsh .

But Curnow should of kick that one 20 out

I don’t really like to single specific players out but Curnow cost them the game imo. Had absolutely no composure throughout the entire game and looked like a deer in the headlights.
That kick inside 50 in the last 2 minutes to a nothing contest was atrocious. Especially when he had a team mate free on the 50m line.
How they didn’t learn from the week before is baffling.

Adam Kingsley appointed GWS coach (and not Adam Yze as everyone thought). Kingsley is currently an assistant coach at Richmond.
