Credit to Riewoldt though, he's been finished for half a season and has somehow kicked 30 goals. Very smart footballer.

Reminds me of Kennedy in his final season. Way past his best but still able to find ways to contribute.

Is Jack going to be able to accept that it's over for him though and make the right call? He's so competitive that it wouldn't surprise me if he tries to play on another year. The Tigers are crazy to leave that decision up to him. I reckon Jack's one of those players who will need to be told.

From what I saw in his FoxFooty slot earlier in the year, he seemed very content with retirement at the end of this season. I think he knows it's his last go round.

I can see Riewoldt playing next year. With Lynch back in the team in 2024, having another forward who can kick 30 goals is useful, even if he's not as good in other areas as he once was. Who has the Tigers got coming up that Jack would be keeping out of the side? I think it all depends on whether Jack thinks he can go on for one more year. Cotchin should def retire.

Which club has the better list going forward out of Richmond and West Coast?
I think they're both in for long rebuilds that are likely to be compromised by Tasmania.

WCE stockpiling picks and talent the last few years, plus this year and likely next season too.

Richmond have, erm, Hopper.

I think these days that's every player at every club.

I forgot that there is another elimination final today: Adelaide vs Gold Coast.

Surely Adelaide win and finish the Suns season. If so, they're in with a sniff of finals too. Although I still think they needed to win the game against Melbourne the other week.

I have no idea why I decided to leave it on in the background, but the Essendon/West Coast game has turned into a highly entertaining affair - sometimes for all the wrong reasons.

Parish has been outstanding, unlike many team mates, today too.

The luckiest of escapes. Eagles were great but lacked that little bit of composure when it counted and that losing clearance for the Bombers sealer was terminal.

33 disposals, 9 clearances and 13 score involvements for Parish including a really clutch last quarter.

FFS

Sick of these lower teams giving me hope only to lose by narrow margins to teams around us on the ladder in the final few minutes. Has happened so many times over the last 3-4 weeks.
With their poor percentage, Essendon need to win all 3 of the NM, GWS (away) and Collingwood games to make it. If they beat GWS, they will very likely knock them out of the 8.

You just know that Hawthorn wont be winning this game. Which makes whatever lead they get out to even funnier.
