Losing a close one as underdogs means any upsets to other finals contenders makes this round a big ol' win.

Ideally we'd like Richmond to win but they won't overtake us if we win our last 2 anyway.

Port beating GWS would make this a great round.

Honestly it was as bad in the ben brown/tmac era as it is in the grundy era. Their midfield goals have masked it.

No doubt grundy has ruined his career going there though and he has 2-4 years of vfl left to rot in.

He'll get traded. Just makes zero sense for Melbourne to not cash out their error while they can

I think it's only fair from 2024 onwards, The AFL make Richmond play more games at the docklands until they're more competitive & earn the right to play in front of big crowds again.

They will miss if we win out and syd beat adel and gws or ess win twice. If theres a logjam of teams on 48 they will sneak into 8th due to a % boost against eagles next week. Either way they cant be above us if we win out.

The downside is it gives them a real incentive to beat us in the final round.
