Every single midfielder is producing poor results.

Our Brownlow winner is looking more Matt Thomas than top mid, and the guy who stormed home as the number 1 mid in the league in the second half of last year has looked fairly pedestrian.

There isn’t a midfielder in our team who isn’t producing a career worst year bar drew.

There’s no way it’s coincidence that half a dozen guys in the midfield are producing career worst seasons.

Our wings are never going to get much of a chance bar dropping back into defence and chopping out.

Reckon this guy has been just a little disappointing. Looked ready to explode in the pre-season. Hasnt totally followed on. Still happy enough with where he is at but would like him having a bit more influence.
He has bursts where he looks elite, then at other times can look pedestrian. But he is still so young so that is to be expected. You just sense he will continue to grow in confidence, form, & consistency.

Just needs to finish his work his almost there but just needs to finish off he explodes but then doesn't make the most of it.

What because he’s Victorian?
No because he is out of contract this year and hasn’t committed to staying, there’s been zero news about him starting negotiations, was horribly homesick last year and was going to go back until he got better and started playing regular footy again.

That’s all, our retention rate for Vic boys would be up there with the best in the league I would’ve thought can’t win ‘em all

His fitness and power in the legs shone through last night. When everyone else was out of gas in the last quarter he was outrunning his man and mopping up as a result.

Thought it was a great example of a player that's got his body in a good spot and you can see it directly paying off. Good preseason makes for good footballers.

Looking really reliable overhead, starting to break clear and use his long penetrating kick to advantage.

Starting to come good and really giving us great rebound from half back whilst DBJ is reinventing himself at half forward. Smart footballer who finds the ball and reads the play, still a bit to work on but he’s vital to our structures..cannot afford to lose him

Looked great this weekend, first time in a while that I've been really impressed by a game of his.

I hope Bergman re-signs, but if he wants to go home, that's fine too. We are relatively well stocked for his role, and can probably find a decent replacement in most drafts using a late first/early second.

If he is leaving, hopefully we can use him in a trade to snag a decent ruckman or key back.

He's a unicorn in being a rare breed of modern day footy player who can play forward, back, wing and on-ball. But for now, he's making his mark in the back line and we should continue to develop him there.

I'm a big Bergman fan too. He started on the wing this year and then went to the 3rd tall position and didn 't miss a beat. Pretty darn good for such a young player to change positions and keep playing well. He also seems to have a big tank and has many great attributes as a footballer. Such a hard worker.

Of course. I would like him to stay.

Does anyone know who he use to barrack for as a kid so I can work out some fake trades.

His dad played reserves for the Saints.
Could be family connection and Saints supporters seem keen on the idea of him leaving SA

Quick check of his Bio

"The 19-year-old, who idolised Lenny Hayes and Nick Dal Santo growing up."
