Well I would hope Australia is reaching out to these sacked scientists with attractive incentives to migrate here.
If we could afford scientists

Most of Victoria’s medical research institutes are on “life support” and risk going broke, threatening crucial breakthroughs and patient access to lifesaving trials.
The Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes Victorian branch has revealed the sector is in crisis in an extraordinary statement, and most of its 14 member organisations are projected to be financially unviable by 2028-29.

Independent modelling commissioned by the branch predicts nine will be facing “financial collapse” by this point, but some will reach this stage “in the coming two years”.

Judge Boasberg says he wants the government to tell him by noon on Tuesday exactly what time it believes his order stopping the deportation flights went into effect on Saturday. He also wants to know how many people could in theory be covered by President Trump’s effort to use an obscure wartime law to remove immigrants from the United States with little or no due process.

The Environmental Protection Agency plans to eliminate its scientific research arm, firing as many as 1,155 chemists, biologists, toxicologists and other scientists, according to documents reviewed by Democrats on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology

If we give it serious thought for a minute it's unbelievable that the US has president who has obvious mental health issues and can post lies and is not really challenged.
This is what the US has become under trump
Until their voters wake up and stop voting for a classless bully (if they even get another chance), Trump’s method of politicking is the future for the States. Hogging the headlines, spewing constant outrageous lies daily.

It's the Nazi philosophy to say say "Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth' and we know where donny's loyalties are and it's not the US.

It isn't a tragedy, it's Darwinism, they knew what they were doing, they get what they deserved. Can't play the victim

Enjoying the leopard eating their faces tbh

Did they really, or were they gullible, stupid, ignorant, conned by a conman. I refuse to blame the victim of the conman, sure, they should have known better. But clearly they did not.

They are not victims, loads of them voted due to racism and wanting to punch down on someone else, they aren't wide eyed innocent victims, this is just the way right wing Americans are.

People need to realise these people's votes will never change, and a lot of them aren't good people either, they are just pissed that Trump is hurting them and not the "others"

If Trump is on the ballot 4 years from now, these people vote for him again with no hesitation

They conned themselves.

Did they? Trump lied to them. Sure they should have known better, but he still lied.

As the saying goes

"You can fool all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time"

Just because they are the fools that can be fooled all of the time are we to abandon our compassion. If so what does that make us? Now don't get me wrong, if Republican party members and other enablers get their faces eaten, I will cheer along. But ordinary Joe or Jill, no so much.
