Interesting Cam Hewett best. Was much better on the ball in the second half. Where he plays his best footy and for me there is little between Hewett and Atley as mids.

I probably would have named Hayes among the best for Port.
George Hewett continues to not only survive but thrive within Sydney's best 22. Increasingly, he stands out to me as a reliable, contested ball winner who plays an important, albeit scrappy role in what is a very good, tough midfield. Gives me hope that Cam could be a similarly valuable in-and-under midfielder and that we shouldn't be too quick to dismiss his long-term potential as an AFL player.

Cam like his brother is a traditional guernsey out socks down blue collar mid. Wins the contested ball can break away from congestion and use it well. I think this is his 3rd year on the rookie list so we will have to make a call on him.

Hewett has a bit of X factor, it won't surprise me if he gets another year on the list, but if we do cut him I can see the swannies, or the tingles, saying thank you very much. ;)

George Hewett has ball skills, Cam Hewett is a butcher. He is exactly the player we should’ve cut to make room for a back-up tall. Never should’ve been given another year, and if and when we cut him at the end of this year he has about as much chance of finding his way onto another AFL list next year as I do.

Yet another Maggies game where it's hard to get a correlation between the stats and the margin. :(

Are you sure? Hitouts were PA 51-17; I50, PA 48-60; and Scoring, PA 12-26.

By those stats, it would seem that: we lost clearances big time, not taking advantage of a clearly superior ruckwork; we couldn't get good entries F50, and our defence was often caught off-guard, leading to easy goals for them. The margin seems to tell similar story, doesn't it?

Not sure.. i just looked on the sanfl ap so thats what i was going by
Would be great if it's a day later. We can use the emergency in the SANFL. Haven't done that much this season.

I'm with you on the comparison between Hewett and Atley. Different types of mids of course but i think Hewett has a good footy brain and would excel at the higher level.
