Bruce makes a big deal about the quarter back position and how clarko invented that I remember peter burgoyne perfecting that but apparently clarko and his group of merry men did that aswellIt's like all the small forwards who recently invented the concept of forward pressure and chasing opposition players out of defence - because presumably what forwards did for the first 150 years of the game's existence was just stand there with their hands on their hips as defenders waltzed the ball away under no pressure.
He’s had a horror run.Naismith the swans ruckman has done an ACL and likely out for 12 months.
Aliir is one of the most over rated footballer in the league, if not the most over rated, if you put him in the rated category of course!
They genuinely don't have a better option than Walker. That's the thing. He's still comfortably in their best six forwards.

2 years out of the game, played R1 but during the break his sister passed away, now does his knee.

...and to think he wanted to play wing this year. Not only is he as slow as sh*t, he's as thick as it too. Btw what you say about his best position is true but sheeshOn this, I actually reckon Walker could be used effectively if they were to keep him really deep. Let him play out of the goal square like an old school Dunstall type and let the Flogarty-type players roam up the ground. He still has a great pair of hands, a good kick and composure under pressure. He's just slow as sh*t, with low aerobic capacity and a total squib.
They're playing to his biggest weaknesses by trying to run him around in the midfield and in contests.
Havent you heard? Clarko actually invented Burgoyne!Bruce makes a big deal about the quarter back position and how clarko invented that I remember peter burgoyne perfecting that but apparently clarko and his group of merry men did that aswell

don't give them any ideas. Where they are right now is just fine by me.
Not at all. Walker has probably the worst set of hands for a key forward in the game. His one and only strength is his kick. His field kicking is probably the best of any tall in the comp and his set shot is fantastic. Problem is you can't keep him deep because he can't mark and is far too slow on the lead. You can't play him up the ground to benefit from his field kicking, because he is so slow and teams will abuse that. There really isn't a good spot for him right now in the AFL. Being a good kick is not enough when you get less than 10 touches every game.On this, I actually reckon Walker could be used effectively if they were to keep him really deep. I think I remember. Kochie said something about the Greek economy being sh*t because they didn't pay their taxes and you lost your sh*t.
Anyway enough of that.
All the complaining aside about Vic bias this and that. Maybe the solution isn't to complain till we're blue in the face, but to make our selves as strong as possible on and off the field?
That way if the AFL wants to mess us about, it costs them significantly more then it does now.

Ding ding. Hey Port, we'll break your legs, but if you can just run faster we'll give you more.Yeah port, grow the pie.
Which ironically was his strength as a mobile forward in 2012.On this, I actually reckon Walker could be used effectively if they were to keep him really deep. The upside of Covid-19 is it's now blatantly obvious the Vic bias in the AFL. Previously it tended to hit one or two non-Vic clubs at a time, the old divide and conquer. Now it's hitting all 8 at once I hope it's a wake up call to all of them, that we need to band together off-field, even if fierce rivals on-field, for own damn good.

Delivery! yeah must be......... oh hang on I vividly remember Charlie dropping sitters over a long period and us Q'ing his eyesight.Arguably Dixon is a worse mark but this is more to do with delivery than skills
