Very much so. We need some gems to develop from our later picks (e.g. Scully, McCallum, Marshall, Burgoyne, Visentini. Hope still there for Williams too) and our mid-range first rounders to become much better than they’ve previously shown (Sinn, Jones, Bergman, Georgiades, Duursma). A really good coaching AND development system is the only way. Alas, we are terrible in both regards. Can’t fathom how Lobbe got any job for us beside cutting oranges.

I will never argue about Lobbe.
He’s was useless as a player and instead of dumping him we gave him a longer contract and now he’s a coach.
He’s one very Lucky Lobster.
