God did they spend a lot of time on Melbourne being shit. Between that and the Essendon saga, there has been scant room for anything else this year. Much like last year.

At least what free time they have is usually to proclaim their love for us.

Hutchy?

Was an okay show, but yeah get rid of hutchy.
Should have Tredders as the main host, with Wellman as the offsider, then each week have a 'special' guest panalist. ie, get KT, Kochie, Burgo, Ken, Boak, someone from the other mob to keep things fair, some SANFL coaches ect, and do the normal show with their imput, but then spend an extra 5min of the show talking with the guest about the club they are at and what is happening with them.

Back in the dark days during Hutchy's regular timeslot on 5AA he was one of the only blokes bringing up the license issue and keeping Cornes and Rowe/KG honest- knows his shit and went in to bat for us on a few occasions, as a Port supporter he's a breath of fresh air as a media figure in this state.

Probably similar to Caro in a way in that because he's not in the inner sanctum with some of the other media types and boys clubs he's not afraid to call things as he sees them without fear of upsetting his mates.

garry lyon on both footy classified and "access all areas" (youtube only i think) gave fox footy a good roast for their ~coverage~ of the showdown. sandy roberts and bloody alistair lynch sitting in the middle of a room together spluttering about how this will be a great game. garry was into fox footy about not sending anybody over there to soak up the colour, sound, atmosphere. u r right gazza.
