Suprise Houston did not go today
Looks like it's Allan this year.Which players will be cursed with the popular chorus “His pre-season form has been exceptional. He’s in for a break-out year.”?
Last year it was Fin and Ash!

I think you'll find one of the pockets was used to play Snake.Surely you also had a Nokia mobile which you used mainly to play Snake?
Never out of fashion my friend…I obviously missed the memo on cargo shorts being back in vogue.
It was a pretty light session for Day 1.
Started late (11am), which meant a walk along the river and a browse in the Collingwood Shop before we saw the players emerge.
There was a minute's silence for Remembrance Day and then the boys broke into groups.
Dan Houston didn't train but Perryman did.
Perryman trained for most of the session opposed to Harry DiMattia. Fly called DiMattia to the overhead coaches' bunker to explain what he wanted. This was something about ground ball cleanness.
That was the only time that Fly intervened during this one hour session.
Maynard was almost unrecognisable to me. Caps make them difficult to pick sometimes, but it was his body shape that tricked me. He has really slimmed and trimmed.
Apart from the glorious weather and the excitement of being there (yes I still get excited to be at training), not a lot to report.
The major session for the week will be tomorrow at 9am and again on Friday at 9am.
One thing though with pockets though, old jeans don't have deep enough pockets for modern phones. Yet still nuffies pay a bomb for vintage jeans. He's on point there!
Although when I first joined BigFooty in 2001, the cargo short was in style and had superior utility for that era.
Back then I had a substantial set of keys (most of which I had no idea what they were for), a soft pack of Stuyvie blues, a lighter, a George Costanza sized wallet with cash and every card that I could force in, about $87 in coins from always breaking notes from buying rounds of Cougar and Cokes, a Zone-1 hour bus ticket and a small plastic bag, most likely containing some white Mitsubishis.
Now with the advent of technology including smart locks, tap and go, the shunning of smoking etc. I tend to need pockets for:
1. My phone (necessity);
2. My headphones case (luxury).
But despite my lack of a need for pockets (although admittedly the keeping a spare pare of pants in the pants was a smart move), I'm going to buy a pair this week just so that I'm in with the cool crowd for once.
Also, apologies to the mods for taking it off topic and I'm happy to cop an infraction.
Sinatra, or Evangelion end credits version?
Ive got an Iphone Max so i need cargo pants and a belt to carry itOne thing though with pockets though, old jeans don't have deep enough pockets for modern phones. Yet still nuffies pay a bomb for vintage jeans.
I'm too stubborn to admit I need glasses. What jeans have a pocket that fits an iPad?Ive got an Iphone Max so i need cargo pants and a belt to carry it

13 years ago the Herald Sun ran this story with this headline, on what was evidently the slowest news day in AFL history.
No current season stats available
Monday Nov 11th, 11am.
Day 1 of pre-season.
Woke up at 7:30am for those wondering, grabbed a shower and a shake this morning before I went off to training at 8:30am.
Took a light jacket, but turns out it wasn't needed. It was a bright and sunny morning.
Once I arrived to see players still trickling in, I did start to think it was gonna be a later start. 11am as it turns out, and I realise now that's because it's a light session so Monday's will turn at this time for a light skills session.
Players on the track:
- Maynard
- Mitchell
- DeMattia
- Allan
- Frampton
- TJ
- Smit
- Steene
- Ryan
- Reef
- Sullivan
- Johnson
- Parker
- Long
- Cox
- Perryman
They started off with a minutes silence for rememberance day at 11am, before they got into groups and they went about some fundamental drills.
Some things I noticed:
- reef training with the back
- DeMattia, Perryman and Parker with the mids but they all had stints with the backs too at some stages
- Steene looks like a complete different player. (pics to come)
- Parker, Ryan, Reef all look to have added weight to his their upper core.
- Mitchell running well, as he was involved, and did some extra running at the end of the session. Maynard and Frampton also followed him for some running.
- Smit. Cox. Steene and Johnson also did some ruck work, led by Josh Fraser
She mustn't own any towels...a shower & a shake?
