Good point, good chance we can pay slightly unders to keep him down the tracki do get it and all have different pros and cons
I just remember Sid being a potential number one at the start of the year and us all salivating about trying to get him. Now in 4-5 hours time we may well MISS him by ONE PICK (my guess)
Its the SA factor and retention (not only likely longevity but not needing to pay overs to interstaters like we did for Sloane and Talia for their careers). Plus Crows fan. Plus Captain material. Plus...most suits our midfield as we have accumulators already
Just my preference and perhaps he doesnt end up in the top 3-4 of the draft but he is THE one I 100% want tonight

Tall mids are overratedThe AFL went through its giant mid phase, where every team wanted a 195cm midfielder like Bont or Cripps. Alot of taller mids then got drafted higher than their talent dictated they should be.
Look at us with Edwards last year. Would you rather him or Soligo?
Then, in a world where every mid is 190+cm, along comes some 175cm ones that are quick and agile, and no taller mid will be able to tackle them without giving away a free.
With Chayse Jones, Hamish let his Tasmanian bias show through there, and Ned got full points on the good guy test.
How confident ? 100%?Will be Draper
Seriously? IF we get Sid it’s a dream come true. Go back to the nationals last year and we were SALIVATING about the chance to get him. Was talked about as a number one draft pick at this time last yearWhy does this feel like having the pick after Hodge Ball and Judd?
How do we compare JHF to Draper. Any similarities.
Both Panther juniors, so thats another similarity. Blonde hair too. Both do play midfield. That's probably where the similarities end.
Willunga's probably a bit more refined than Christies BeachHow do we compare JHF to Draper. Any similarities.
I want Jagga like nothing else but I’m almost 100% certain Draper will be a crowWill be Draper
Both have v good burst speed and love to compete , be physicalHow do we compare JHF to Draper. Any similarities.
Don’t reckon there is a hodge or Judd player in this draftWhy does this feel like having the pick after Hodge Ball and Judd?
In the absence of Bicks and other draft experts (but we still have Jeff and hopefully DIT and bigman and T/stuck) , happy to offer my limited knowledge. Both have express pace and attack the footy and move it FORWARD. Draper more a pure mid whilst JHF can do much more damage up forward. How do we compare JHF to Draper. Any similarities.
People call this year's draft a super draft, because of the evenness of talent but nothing will beat the quality that came from 2001 it is still to this day the best draft everDon’t reckon there is a hodge or Judd player in this draft
All the top 5 mids a little below but all so even
This is the most depth I’ve ever seen in a draftPeople call this year's draft a super draft, because of the evenness of talent but nothing will beat the quality that came from 2001 it is still to this day the best draft ever
Because you seem to love being dramaticWhy does this feel like having the pick after Hodge Ball and Judd?
Was there a top 4 midfielders that draft? Clarke was selected at pick 5.Why does this feel like having the pick after Hodge Ball and Judd?
Bartel was at pick 8 so yes... just because Stkilda are woeful at drafting doesn't mean there weren't other elite players on offer. Was there a top 4 midfielders that draft? Clarke was selected at pick 5.
It feels more like what 2019 should have been, had we not been locked in to pick McAsey.Because you seem to love being dramatic

JHF probably a better kick - accuracy and length with Draper reportedly a higher handball ratio (that’s just going off what others have said).
Draper more level headed and captained the state team. Seen as a future AFL captain.
Both hard at the pill. Both performed well against men in the SANFL with Sid getting higher stats (IIRC) but JHF kicking goals also.
And agree with Jeff. JHF to be a Brownlow medalist (Danger, Buckley type) - all time elite - where as Sid the level below that
