Geelong will come off tonight feeling like they've just played a leisurely intraclub. The least Brisbane could do is make em earn it

Would rather us not make it if we are just going to get knocked out next week. Experienced enough gf heart breaks, don't want any more. If we do make it next week I hope we get payback from that 2011 lossCould be repeat of 2011 losing to Cats three times if we win tomorrow and lose next week.
But hey, imagine the smile on our faces we beat them after last year’s rabble. I won’t hold back being Smug either.
Hard to see us playing so well against them again three weeks after the first epic final. Got to get there first. Oh well. Let this grand farce play out to its denouement. Not sure I want to play Geelong in the GF, it won't be easy beating them
absolutely hear you. Sadly we’ve lost the most GFs in league history.Would rather us not make it if we are just going to get knocked out next week. Experienced enough gf heart breaks, don't want any more. If we do make it next week I hope we get payback from that 2011 loss

I went in 2019, and they were grumpy forty year old men and geriatrics, who got a weekend release from the retirement home. Of course, they were frustrated with my vocal support, and some old biddy turned around at the end and said "I hope you don't come back ever again". They treat it like a rock concert at the start, then want it to be a library. The swans fans are ALL like this. NFII hope the Pies supporters rock the SCG tomorrow. The Swans supporters were pretty quiet in round 22. I was carrying on like a one eyed pies supporter and they didn't like it it's alien to them.
Hmmm, yep, winning just to get to “normal” for me. Losing, well….I'm with domus on this one. It's like an addiction, and the anxiety absolutely destroys you. I for one, never used to think twice about watching a whole game, I was in the thick of it for years as a supervisor at the MCG. But COVID and 2021 did strange things. It's almost like it became too much, and now I feel almost sick to have to watch it live, thinking they will lose, and it'll be the worst thing in the world.
It's easy to sit back in comfort of score updates, and watch it later once the result is won. I was "forced" to watch the last quarter of the QF against the pivotonians, and it was definitely a self fulfilling prophecy.
Doesn't stop me from venturing on here and gaining strength from people's confidence, or being immersed in the thought of football, and possible glory next week
I’d like another go at them. Reckon we were good enough both times already this year, just not quite there. A Milne bounce in either of those games sends the result our way.Not sure I want to play Geelong in the GF, it won't be easy beating them
Whoever wins tomorrow I hope wins the following week, hopefully usI’d like another go at them. Reckon we were good enough both times already this year, just not quite there. A Milne bounce in either of those games sends the result our way.
I think either us or the Swans are well positioned to beat the Cats should the winner of our game go in without injuries.
It's amazing you start living for the W every weekend, and it becomes a chore, but as soon as you sense the threat of an L, it's like the world spins off its axis. This is what I am talking about. Literal trepidation about losing. It's not just a game, but then you know it is, but how else can you rationalise the irrational? Absolute poetry sometimes. Footy just makes life better. The only game in the world.Hmmm, yep, winning just to get to “normal” for me. Losing, well….
Fly's pre-game speech: Cream rises to the top!

Speaking of taking the piss, I'm rewatching the last quarter against Carlton R23. Wish me luck
Link?If you pop over into the 'Other Finals' thread, you might find some Collingwood supporters wishing injury and other types of mayhem upon Geelong players.
I'm not sure we can get too sanctimonious in relation to a joke about a non-serious accident.
Alan Didak.Which Ex-Collingwood player or club affiliate going to talk to the boys this week?
Perhaps Peter Moore? He’s up there too.
I like the addition of past players/club associates talking pre-game this year.
That game was also on September 17th, a good omen.I’d love a 2010 Preliminary final replay.
My first ever final!
