Lol we won by 50 points while starting Fyfe as sub and resting? Our ruckman. Can't complain at all. Bring in switta for cooper next week. Wonder if they'll rotate any of the guys in good form for peel for the five day break.
Good result for Freo, up to 6th on the ladder. Percentage of 120.

Really professional overall - had our moments.
Start of the third was poor and we continue to over possess, however you can't really be disappointed with that.
The best part for mine is the fact that we won that on the back of our younger core players performing and not having senior players like Fyfe, Walters and O'Meara contributing changed nothing in terms of the outcome.
We are looking great going forwards into the future. A couple of extra mature bodies and a bit more pace/explosiveness in the forward half and we are set for a fair crack at a flag over the next 5 years.

That was our game style in a nutshell.
Would like to see us win the crumb up forward more often, sometimes it seems like nobody thinks to sit in front of the pack. Pretty important seeing how well the KPFs bring it to ground these days.
God I love Sonny, but he must be the slowest player in the comp these days. Players play off him and know they have plenty of time to cover him.
I’m sure Ryan watches tapes of the games he is about to play in before bounce down, such is his ability to be exactly in the right spot over and over again.
Emmett is so defensive minded, there was a moment where the ball was on the ground at his feet, but then instead of picking it up, he turned around and looked at the Tigs player on the other side of him and therefore turned his back on the ball. The Richmond player then stepped around him to pick the ball up and then Emmett laid the tackle. You must get more fantasy points for tackles than hand passes, I can only assume he has himself in his team.

Tracy, Amiss and the other forwards have such great chemistry. How many times over the past several years have we seen multiple forwards going up spoiling each other? No more. They don’t lead up as much as I’d would like but we don’t see two flying for the same ball like we used to.
When Amiss, Tracy, And Dogga are 23-26 years old they’re gonna be a hell of a force. Tracy is a beast.

Apart from the usual suspects Young and Serong, i thought Walker had a very solid game. He's obviously watched Frederick running through he corridor.
Pearce and Brayshaw looked off the boil today. Walters can only play for frees and almost got another junktime goal before Young snapped it. Complete passenger

Dunno what to say. Easy in the end but should have been out of sight at HT.
We really need more from our smalls. Maybe show them footage of prime Ballas, Sonny, and Chopper so they know what they need to do pressure wise. Too many times Richmond waltzed it out too easily when the ball hit the deck.
Skills let us down at times but what is new. Hospital handballs are still a problem. I know we want to use the hands to get away from stoppage but sometimes a hack kick forward is better than passing to a teammate who gets drilled straight away.
I'm happy for Johnno. That is 2 good solid games in a row from him now. He is starting to justify his place in the team.
I think the midfield mix is probably about right but the wing opposite Sharp could do with more pace. I really want to see Stanley there or even try Simpson to get him some of the ball. He has shown in his limited possessions that he is class by foot and we could really use that going inside 50.
Something is seriously wrong with Amiss. His goal kicking has gone to absolute shit and he is being out bodied way too easily. I lost count of how many times he hit the deck although one of those times was a clear free that wasn't paid due to Treacy taking a mark.
Treacy is THE guy. **** your Logan McDonald bullshit off now please.
It might just be me but I think the commentators massively overrated Luke Ryan's game. 39 disposals but I don't think he really impacted the game all that much. Even from a defensive stand point he didn't have his usual influence.
Sonny is done. Say what you want Sonny defenders but he is cooked so damn bad. He is a complete liability and is continually costing us more goals than he is providing.
The deliberate against JOM in the last quarter was a massive joke. I have long thought those should be paid but you can't pay one and let the other 100 you will see across a weekend of football go.
If we want to beat Sydney next week we need to play much better than that.

Big names did their usual but best part of the game for me was Johnson - more midfield minutes and played one of his stronger games for us. Breaking tackles, more composure. Will be an absolute beast once he is 100 games in.
People say he’s too arrogant but a lot of the guns are a bit like that.

Walters was really not as bad as people are making him out to be. 1.1, 14 touches sure, but 7 marks up the ground. He was providing an option playing higher up the ground. He only get's dropped if they want to rest him. Simpson comfortably out before him unfortunately.
We do need more from our smalls though. Hoping Switta back will bring a little bit. Would be nice if Brayshaw didn't shit the bed everytime he saw the sticks.
