I’m honestly on the lookout for an analysis of what is wrong with Geelong in finals. Is there anyone deep in the club who can speak off the record about the club culture because something is amiss as it’s highly unusual to dish up Groundhog Day style performances near on a decade in finals.

Simple. They're soft and can't handle pressure.

It goes to another level in September and a good chunk of the team can't cope with it.

I have said this for the past 4 years. We have gun players who play on instinct, yet we give them no license to do so. Our system sucks, when up against quick dynamic teams. Nothing changes though. The only reason that we get so close in these sort of games, is because our system gets thrown out the window and those players just play to win. I have never seen a side that seems so 'constricted' like Geelong. All the naysayers and critics are within their right to completely pot us after that performance.

We will not change anything, and we have no flair whatsoever. This gameplan does not work, when a team is highly contested, but also has speed on their game. I'm not even angry, and I'm not even surprised. Once Stanley was omitted, we were playing 'defensive-minded' football, instead of attacking football, on the front foot, like they were.

I have defended Scott, but I'm done. Tonight exposed both sides of our game, and what his rigid coaching does to our players.

For the first time ever, I'm saying, sack Scott.

I knew it when Scott said before the game “we need to limit collingwoods speed”
He’s coaching to stop the opposition rather than attack them. Worry about what WE are doing. Not the opposition.
We are good defensively but are bloody awful offensively.

Until this mindset changes we won’t go far unfortunately.

If anyone blames Hawkins then they are an absolute moron. The Problem was SCOTT (and Co.) not picking a RUCKMAN (you know, the big bloke who jumps for the footy to get it out to your small men). Can you believe it...Stanley will surely look to get to another club after being dropped again. The only guy that needs dropping is the coach.

September squibs when the heat is on. Cats are flat trackers for sure. 3-10 in September and 1-12 after byes but it’s never an issue because it’s a ‘different’ team. Garbage mentality!

We lost another final the same way. The MIDFIELD. THE MIDFIELD again got spanked, and again we lose a final.

Worse still the midfield gets a free ride from a bake every finals loss.
Even worse is that we still will not sack Matthew Knights
