Likely not many considering I'm not sure I knew any of them existed. It was clearly tongue in cheek, though I understand that's not for everyone.

It doesn't change the point however; Sholl doesn't have hurt factor. While everyone wants to argue the window dressing, no one wants to deny that, for good reason.

Sholl basically doubled his career goals this season - and from a scoreboard impact and average possession point of view he compares nicely with Blake Acres and Ed Langdon (both highly regarded)

You need at least 1 midfielder with power, good old ma. Breaking through the front of stoppages puts a lot of pressure on oppo to defend, even if the delivery isn't elite.
There are 3 mids in the 1st round that fit that bill Sam Lalor who is very good by foot and hand, Sid Draper who can be a little hit of miss by foot at times and Bo Allan who is probably the most gifted athletically of the 3 but could tidy up his kicking somewhat. All 3 are excellent defensively, Lalor and Allan both more versatile than Draper.

Hugh McLuggage, Jaspa Fletcher, Errol Gulden, James Jordan, Josh Daicos, Steele Sidebottom.

He'd be 8th of out 7 on that list.
Sholl isn't one of the best wings in the league. But he doesn't have to be to play wing for the Crows. He just has to be one of the 2 best wings at the Crows. I like Hinge at half back, not wing, but here are the other options:

But as you have brought up the other "wings" (McCluggage and Guldon also go inside, which helps with the disposals stat):

Sholl doesn't look to be at the bottom of that group. As a wing in a team that lost a lot of games, I'm not surprised he has more r50's than i50's.

Sholl is right at the bottom of that group with a whole lot of room between him and the next guy. Who do you think he's better than?

Some posters get a fixed view of players & refuse to change their mind despite a player improving their performance.

Sholl was easily our best & most consistent wingman last season. Given we usually rotate at least 3 players through the wings, it's very likely he will be 1 of the 3, even with our recruits.

I think you'll find it very hard to find me saying that anywhere.

There's a big gap between regular contributor and class midfield.

Almost as big as the one between your ears.
Jones isn’t even a regular contributor.

A word of advice, when you decide to make personal digs at people because of their opinions, you lose all credibility. Be better.

Better than all the Adelaide boys plus Jordon and Fletcher. Below Guldon, Daicos and McCluggage. Surprisingly stacks up OK against (the ageing) Sidebottom.

On what (objective) basis would you have Jordon or Fletcher above Sholl? Sholl gets more of it, more metres, more i/r50's, more goals and more score involvements.
