Selecting McAsey for 10 games during a wooden spoon year to break his confidence is up there with rhe insistence that Milera will play AFL ready or not.

I know - it’s actually unbelievable how poorly we manage some and others we treat with the lucrative “golden pass”.

I would love to know (clearly I have never been part of a team at this level) who is on the selection panel, what the criteria is - and why some players are picked relentlessly- and why others never get another go.

Hoping some of the brains trust on this board could throw some light?

it's a horrible position to be in. he probably knows he's not ready, especially in that moment, but wants to perform. it was cruel for him to be selected round 1 and it would be cruel to select him next week. 2 years out of footy is no joke.

He's been pushing saying he's ready for the last month at least. He wasn't put in any sort of situation he didn't ask to be in

OUT: Crouch, Butts (assuming he doesn't pass protocols), Murphy
IN: Jones, Worrell, Gollant

Berry back to the mids, Worrell to Waterman, Doods on Darling and Murray on Kennedy. Gollant is responsible for McGovern to make sure he doesn't dictate play from across half back.

McHenry - has to go out, adding nothing and is hopeless up forward
Crouch - you would think he has to go out for Schoey
Rowe or Murphy, not both as both is adding nothing right now
Milera - let him get up to speed?

Crouch - See above. Finished as a footballer.
1 of Mchenry or Rowe - Both were poor. Mchenry is not a small forward and is too light to play anywhere else. Rowe is a downhill skier.

In -
Jones - Showed enough in 1 quarter to give him another go. Worst case he is a great sub.
Rachele - Up forward and Berry goes back to the bloody middle.
Newchurch - Actually kicks goals and our AFL small forwards don't kick goals.

Not sure what to do about Butts. Frampton is not a key defender by any stretch but his height might give him a shot.

How is Borlase tracking? Has Mcasey been located yet since we drafted him? Can we reinvent Berg as a defender? Will they ever forgive Worrells drink driving indiscretion?

The fact that Frampton gets mentioned as the least worst option is a massive drafting and developmemt failure.

Worrell is not a KPD. While WC may have performed as the worst team so far, that does not entitle us to be favourites at present. They still have very fine old players who would probably like to beat up on us, as they normally do. I fear the worst for this match, especially with our likely outs.

The only KPD we have available that's not already playing is Borlase

Kicked 3 last night, and honestly, we just need someone with skill around goal and x-factor so get him in against the worst side in the league I say.

Need to find out what we have in Newchurch, Borlase, Parnell and Worrell at some stage. 2 of them should play next week. We all know that won’t happen though.
