Initial thoughts.

We had all the markers of previous losses, all of them. We missed shots, we fluffed our momentum period, they ran nearly ten goals through us in a row, we had every umpiring call go against us or called play on, the opposition barely missed and our pressure disappeared after half time.

.... yet we won.

Based on the first half we should have won. Adelaide in the first played worse than we did in the third. We just didn't make them pay and they didn't miss.

Then it turned back on for us.

Lobb looks a lot better when our midfield move it quick and direct.

Schultz really, really wants it. You could smell it through the TV. He wanted it so much.

Banfield was okay. He tries. But HF is not his position. Should rotate inside the midfield.
Walters. I don’t know with him. Just play him close to goal near the talls. He’s too good to leave out but not up to it.

That was one of the most clutch plays in Freo history from Chapman there.

Added bonus is we can now highlight how badly those cheating f**king umpires tried to destroy us without it sounding like we're using it to excuse a loss. That was one of the most one-sided games I've ever seen from the umpires.

wow, Such mixed feelings. Happy to get the away win on the board but that third quarter was putrid. Not one mention of the lopsided free kick count by fox commentators. Chappy saving the day was so good

EAD umps and commentators. They did all they could to get Adelaide over the line but we somehow jagged it.

I can't be arsed properly summing it up at the moment but shoutout to Chappy. Was dogshit most of the game but he won us the game at the end.

Walters should never play again and Walker needs to be in the side to play on small forwards.

Hopefully Tabs, Darcy, and Fyfe are back next week.

Agree with Walker. Need both him and Clark’s speed. Logue is the odd one out. He’s a lockdown defender, pure and simple. Terrible disposal at times today. AFL requires defenders to have both lockdown and elite ball use. Logue isn’t one nor the other.
