Lake will be a headache but we have ome big blokes up forward who can really run and defend so he won't have his easiest match. I recon we can blanket Lake's influence, will be interesting. I recon we need to push Lake up the groung and run him around and try and run him into the ground. Setanta, Hampson and Hendo are good runners, could be good.

some good outs there. shouldnt say this but im really confident about this game. surprised Johnson is named, but id prefer if he plays tbh. A huge shadow of the player he was.

Training tomorrow. Not too sure about Wiggins inclusion.
Wiggins to run through Lake at the opening bounce "Yates on Dermie" style. Goes on to kick 4 and wins his last ever game for us (having then copped a 7 week suspension).

Bower back for his one game this month Hopefully for Thornton, Lucas I like in but not sure who makes way for him.

Houlihan? Interesting one.
Maybe Wiggins may be brought in just for that role? Wouldn't be the out of the question, would it?
Hoops probably more suited to Gilbee but just tossing some ideas up there.

That doesn't work as Lake stays back and just sits in the hole then picking off inside 50's at will, he is quite happy to let his opponent get some kicks on the wing as Franklin did last week, that strategy actually makes him more dangerous. Wouldn't be surprised if Wiggins was brought in to play him man to man deep in forward line to keep him away from the space for smalls 30-40 metre out.

No mark of the year for Wiggo?

Thornton needs to go. The sooner the better and Army or Grigg to make way for Lucas.

Like these points

  • Strategically extended training over two weeks with the break.
  • Judd is 100%.
  • Bower is extremely close to coming back in due to the break.
  • Continuity with Bower's game is important, so this week is critical...Will have to play VFL if he's injured again.
  • Mclean is one, maybe two weeks away before he plays in the VFL.
  • Brock's rehab and attitude has been fantastic...He's been there at 7 in the morning when the coaches arrive.
  • Number two ruck is still up in the air...Possibly depending on need.
  • Might play one ruck.
  • Forwardline lacks flexibility without Waite.
  • Consistency of our smalls is important with Yarran improving and Garlett having his best game.

Did everyone get a heartfelt personalised email from your beloved moderators? No? How about from myself, Bee, MSR and Thrawn?

Anybody willing to cobble together a proper preview for this game? We have the highest traffic of all team boards but are unable to come up with a weekly official preview pretty much every week.

Did one once but someone seems to always start the preview for the following weeks game half way through the game that's currently being played.

Okay, despite no personalised email, I'll do a proper preview

I might have a crack at it but Uni comes back in soon and my studies will wreck havoc on my footy schedule
