Geez Blues fans - your goal kicking is almost as crooked as a Crows CEO!!! But well done on the win.

That Crows CEO became our CEO at one point, and we've got our own crooked history to fall back on. That game was dodgy AF.

It was a stressful/anxiety inducing game
But by jingo, the amount of sour grapes and bitterness from opposition supporters on this game (esp the main board game day thread) almost makes this the most enjoyable and satisfying win of the season for me.

WAA WAA WAA Umpires.

If we kicked straight at goal, game would have been done and dusted halfway through the 3rd Stanza.

What I am picking up on is the hate and fear of the Mighty Blue Baggers is coming back in droves, and it's intoxicating !!!!

Loved every minute of it!

After watching players from both sides slipping on their plant foot while trying to kick the ball, surely the surface of this atrocious ground needs to be questioned. Slippery, unsure footing has no place at this level of the game.

Horrid win, but 4pts is 4 pts.

ICB reckon it is poor until the AFL pay money to say it's below average.

Massive sign of growth, today had banana peel written all over it.

We played a better system for longer and got the points. Did what good teams do
There is a bit of truth in that. There is also a bit of truth in the fact we are still unable to put together an efficient performance unless it’s a big time game against big time opponents or in front of a full house at the G.

I’m very much a glass half full guy but man, there are no signs that we’re bedding down the kind of efficient, structured plan that is required to be really good. And I’m not even worrying about what that game plan is, I just want to see SOMETHING.

We’re clearly going to be good, I just worry that we might not be good ENOUGH.

i would have thought those conditions would suit players like fish. He is very underwhelming.

Just a slight adjustment. I'm about done with one good game every 5.

I fear we're in a loop where our constant dump kicks out of defence means no one is presenting properly in the middle third of the ground, and our dump kicks into F50 means our forwards have lost the art of separation and functional leading patterns.

McGovern kicked some loose balls into the corridor but at least he is one of the few to attempt it. Once it starts to work more often than it doesn't we're going to be a force to be reckoned with

We would have absolutely definitely without any shadow of doubt have lost that game in the past few years.

With the missed shots (10 more scoring shots) we did our very best to give them a sniff.

Trust me today was a good sign of progress , top 4 still on the table
Correct. We actually did last year against the Saints when we kicked 10 - 18.

Some good, some bad (including the ground which impacted on players ability to use the ball), plenty of bad. Learn from both columns and move on.

We are still unbeaten in 2023.
