You must be the most optimistic poster on the Board to see today as "major uplift"

Really? Is that a valid response? I guess it is given the result.

Yes I do se major uplift in the team effort.

Cripps ….. nuff said, tries his guts out, champion leader.

Along came Jones. Jones should and will get AA. Mighty, Mighty game, intercepts, one on ones, becoming such a last chance saloon rock.

SPS is the future. Made a couple of mistakes but damn boy, when he gets his hands on it he has space and chooses great options. Not afraid to put his head down or take his turn either.

Walsh, GUN. If vanilla is the new flavour, give me 18 of his ilk, tough, smart, ELITE …. Big call but he is the modern day Sam Mitchell but with better pace.

Smurph, great game. Gut running to contests was huge. Most people won't get what he did today. It wasn't lost on me.

Newman, part of the CFC journey moving forward, made a couple of mistakes , but that left peg ……… and a few crucial intercept marks.

Marchy, solid game. Didn't do a lot wrong. Got caught out of position a few times but recovered.

Mits McGovern. Future FF. Dunno where Harry sits unless Hmac can lead opposite patterns to him ….

How is that for solid uplift?

I know this is blasphemous around here, but SOS' recruiting is starting to turn a bit sour.

Zero small forwards
Zero genuine rucks(TDK a combo and also project)
No one to help Cripps
Dow and LOB in the first round, one can't kick, the other can't tackle.
He was excellent for his first two years but has since gone awry. Maybe panicking and letting need cloud his judgement? I would have traded Gibbs a year early and drafted Jarrod Berry.

Weitering's best ever game according to AFL player ratings. Well done.

Sam Walsh continues to improve.

Cripps is the beast of beasts.

Again, like last week, our structure is horrendous.... we serious dont know what happening, dont run both ways, guard space... theres no tenacity or urgency.... looks like they wait for the next bloke to do it....

Also, these boys play in the AFL. The elite of the country, there is absolutely no excuse for poor skills and terrible decision making. Its a fulltime job ffs.

The issue then becomes; who do you want carrying & kicking the ball from stoppages if not Fisher? Cripps gets too much attention and Dow is burning the footy every time. Surely not Ed. The days of Murphy doing it are done.

I know Fisher forward would be very handy, but if anything it's Dow that has to go forward.

It needs to be Cripps, Kennedy, Dow and Setterfield in the congestion (within 2 metres of the stoppage), with Fisher, Samo, Walsh and Murphy on the periphery ready to set up a chain of handballs to free someone up for a kick.

At the moment, Dow and Cripps are being asked to do too much for their roles, particularly with Setterfield unfit. Fisher and to an extent Samo are subsequently forced to play a role they are not physically equipped for, now Walsh and Murphy are being asked to do too much on the outside.

Cripps and Walsh have been Herculean, Murphy to an extent today, but that's too much for too few.

Kennedy and JSOS must be brought in. Kreuzer will help drastically too, likewise a fit Cuningham. Until then, we simply won't win a game, it's just not feasible.

Interesting as i thought we played by far our worst game, and think they may of been close to our lowest score for the year. At least the other matches were reasonable standard to watch. Of more concern is all those positives and we still lose.

what a sad ineffectual bunch of entitled losers - another goal and the baby-people on this site are sucking their dummies happily..........boo hoo, a game of football - have a look at yourselves.........

Disagree, the game style, selection and match was terrible to watch. I only wanted to win for the confiendence of the group but that was deplorable to watch. We should be far more advanced by now than this. Given the list we now have we are massively under achieving.

Leading patterns seem non-existent. I'd almost take a Pagan's paddock type set up right now with Harry or McG given how they can gain separation and have such good hands on the lead.

Unfortunately when the ball comes into our forward line there's little space to lead into given our set up at present.
