Autopsy Rd 7 Blues lose after the siren in a thriller

Completely gutted. How the f@#k we didn't maintain possession in that last minute I'll never understand, I lost count how many times they banged the ball down the line only to turn it over, and then in the last 30 seconds Gibbons (had an outstanding game though) just kicked it in the Harry direction AGAIN. Well if that's the best team in the comp, we are so close, but may ultimately run out of games........

Massively disappointing, the lack of composure at the end will provide a lot of teaching moments.

Brilliant games from Plow, Weiters, Gibbons and plenty others. Walsh is getting his teeth into the season now.

we’ve had a tough run of games, we’ve played most of the eight. We get Freo, Nth, Hawthorn 3 of the next four weeks (with maybe Adelaide on the way home). Rack up some wins and we’re in this season up to our eyeballs.

Captains not doing enough on the field. Midfield extremely poor defensively, apart from Setterfield and Curnow.

Too slow to get SPS into the game as a midfielder when we were clearly struggling to kick the ball inside 50.

Our talls let their defenders have a field day intercepting, also not helped by our kicks long the line being malpositioned.

Dixon should've had 6-7 goals and Weitering should have had him from the start.

Absolute waste not having SPS in the midfield.

Port one-dimensional through Dixon - no change made, even for a few minutes to see. He was the difference. Had Weiters had some time on him, then may have upset the port forward structure and rebound for us out of their 50 easier.

Composure going into 50 lacking... again.

Fairly even game - thought we outplayed them in the second half of the third and last.

Good teams know how to win, even in tight contests, and when to accelerate and when to hold the game up. We lost all composure and structure in the last 5 minutes trying to hang on.

Easy misses from Levi, Murphy and Martin show we aren't there yet.

Bad luck guys. Your club is going places and you have a really good coach on your hands. Furure looks bright.

Btw, I suggest you head over and give this campaigner a sh*t canning. Been wacking your mob all year.

Just send her a picture of Dom Sheed kicking winner in the Grand Final. She is a collingwood supporter.

Lost count of how many times in the last quarter we kicked long down the wing and Port marked it. If you're not going to mark it at least halve the contest!
It was mainly the kicks though. We kept kicking it over our forwards or on top of their heads and easy pickings for the Backman. Our kicking from defensive 50 to the wings was atrocious all game and kicking into the 50 was even worse.

Cripps is injured and should get at least a week off

Had no impact or power today.

Kennedy made massive mistakes today that were costly

It is heartbreaking but **** we played well.

We took it up to them, they are a very good team. I dont think this will be a bad defining loss, I hope the boys know that they now belong in the upper echelons of the ladder.

As the great King Willie said in Predator 2......which I watched again last night as Tigers vs North was boring............shit happens. As a club we need to take away the positives from this game, there were a lot.
