I havent seen us go into a game with this many talls in a long time. All our first choice ones at least.

Warnock
Kreuzer
Waite
Henderson
Jamison
Watson
McIness

Thats 2 proper ruckmen, 2 full time forwards and 3 defenders. Could even include Everitt, though i guess he doesnt necessarily play KP. Interesting to see how this goes...will we look slow out on the park? Or can we make it work like Sydney and Geelong have in the past.

Port also fairly tall though with

Trengove
Hombsch
Clurey
Westhoff
Butcher
Schulz
Lobbe

1 ruckman
2 forwards
1 utility
and 3 defenders

And i could even include Jonas but he is a tad too small to considered a KPP traditional option (although has played and beat KPFs before, Walker, Cameron)

But yeah will be very interesting on the pace of the game, luckily it will be dry

I'd like Kreuz to play forward just for match ups. With Kreuzer, Waite & Henderson forward...one of them gets a teams 3rd defender.

Port board still believe Carrots is a massive loss for us.

I guess they don't recall he didn't play in either of our games last year.

i doubt any of these guys apart from maybe bell would knock our mids off their feet or intimadate them in the slightest

You're right......Robinson will probably knock his team-mates off their feet. :)

We're playing football not rollerball. Players have their roles and it's not all about knocking others off their feet.
Tuohy can knock someone into next week if he connects. Kreuzer play in the middle and can hurt also.

Anyway, who are these mighty Port mids you're alluding to in a round about way?

My comment was in response to one of your posters who said carlton will be too good in the midfield with their strength and pressure. I don't see how your midfield is stronger in anyway, i would say par..

Ebert bigger than Robbo?

Ebert is a very good player, but Robbo would knock him out if he lined up him up like he did to Ablett.

obviously underestimating port's midfield then Wines is as big as Bell and Ebert is bigger than both Robinson and Curnow. Don't mistake aggression for size.
Your the one doing that and have even alluded to it in the above post by stating that both Robinson and Curnow are smaller bodies then the Port blokes.

Contradicting your own argument, I never made a comment about the Port mids or their size/aggression, that was your paranoia getting the better of you...o_O:confused:

I only suggested you might be underestimating both Robinson and Curnow in body size, strength and aggression and you have proved me correct.;)

Can't really tell if you are disputing the fact or stating that Robbo is more physical player...

In any case
Brad Ebert ~ 189cms 88kgs
Mitch Robinson ~ 185cms 88kgs

How do you know that, i doubt you have watched many Port games or even look out for Ebert. Ebert weighs 2kgs more while only 2cms taller and looks exactly as big as Robbo if not bigger in two standard photos..

Just because a player throws themselves at the ball and may be more courageous doesn't mean they are physically stronger or bigger. Robinson averaged 3.7 tackles last year to Eberts 5 and both averaged 1.7 1% per game (which includes: chase, bump, smother and spoils)

False... i said Ebert was bigger than Curnow and Robinson not BLOKES in proving the point that you said carlton have more size.

are you serious in the 2nd line?? my comment was in reply to a poster saying your mids have superior strength and pressure which is completely unproven..

Carlton Supporter: Our mids have superior strenght and pressure

Me: i don't agree, used wines and other mids as an argument to prove that that poster was underestimating our midfield and i stated one opinion that ebert was bigger than curnow and robinson in my opinion and wines was as big as bell (with all the other mids about on par, e.g. boak cornes cassisi vs murphy, mclean, gibbs)

You: you are underestimating Robinson and Curnow.

How can i be underestimating that i think our mids are on par in strength with your mids whilst backing that up and your poster is not underestimating our mids by claiming guys like Murphy, Gibbs and Mclean in particular have huge physical size about them.

um ok....

Bell 187/95
Robinson 185/86
Curnow 182/83
Murphy 180/80
Gibbs 188/85
Mclean 185/84

Wines 187/94
Ebert 188/88
Cassisi 184/84
Boak 183/83
Cornes 183/81
Gray 183/87
White 180/82

Just on sizes...

Ollie Wines listed at 187cms and 94kgs on the team list. If that is true then he is heavier than Jarrad Waite ladies and gentlemen!
