Yeah it's the key for sure. If Danger can gel with the team right we're looking good.

Our midfield will have a tremendous boost when he comes back - just needs to play his role , take the best option and don't try to take on the world.
Narkle is also a potentially dangerous addition - he has composure in traffic , a good sidestep and great turn of speed which he is willing to use to exit the contest - breakout game now done , if he continues to bring anywhere near that we'll all be ecstatic :thumbsu:

Nah they are a shambles. Internally and externally.
Gold Coast beat them easily, fell in v Norf, Swans thrashed them, gave Port a scare in a low scoring affair.
All their energy goes into tit for tat banners.
Ten goal bashing on the cards, like the last time we met.

EDIT: Twenty goals- since one of their supporters unknowingly let the 'rona loose at the MCG on Sunday so that's stuffed it.
Imagine the uproar now if crowd is allowed.
Like your optimism, but i still see a team that had good players who can perform on a given day. If you look at their best 6 or so players, there are some very good names. Especially in the engine room where they will have the wood over us on Saturday.

If they belt us around the midfield, expect a much closer game

Ive got bad vibes about this game - mainly because of the injuries and because the Magpies have been a bit of a bogey team for Geel

Looking at Geelongs draw in the next month - away games games to Port and Bris and also a game against Foot - Geel just can not afford to drop this game against Coll -

Geel were great against Rich - however that StK performance worries me a bit - the Saints havent franked that form at all - and then a so so win against the Suns - now key injuries . Just hope the Cats get over the line this week

Collingwood play an all out defensive game. Played on 16% of the time vs port.
they wont this week -play on at all costs now and you watch - and will try to run us silly.

GO Catters

It's what they have been doing all year. Why would they change it now?
Bucks hitting **** it and trying something different - especially against us.

I reckon. No reliance on Danger is a big deal.
Henry has come on in a big way.
Obviously getting Cameron is every coaches dream.
Unfortunately Dogs and Dees may have improved far more. But that happens with young teams when it all clicks.

To be fair they needed to because at the end of last season they weren't anywhere near us. Like ****ing miles behind!

Henderson was bloody awesome against Richmond. BOG for me.
He and Kolo are on to a good thing though.
If either of them have an opponent that does well we just say he was playing on the other one.

hahaha who is we? That's such a baseless statement incorporating unknown people into your opinion!

Have any of the top four teams this year actually had the significant injury issues to premium top 4-6 players like we have had continuously??

the bulldogs have had 1-2 injured in Dunkirk and now treloar the other week and they are called injury hit dogs.

I think at one point we had about 5 of our top 6 players missing and hardly a mention.

we haven’t had a long injury list, but it has been quite a significant one the names

Brisbane has had a few

Dog a couple in the midfield but they are so stacked in that line i don't count it lol

Melb no none that i can think of

Out of the top 4 we have the worst by far especially if you include suspensions lol

Guthrie could be OK to play.
Duncan out.
Cooper Stephens had ankle surgery.
Simpson increasing his load.
O'Connor back to main training this week.
Dangerfield and Miers increasing their loads

If there is any risk of Guthrie worsening his injury by playing, I would be cautious as with the bye to follow, he can have a good recovery period, as harder games follow.

I think we’ve got to take the chance on winning without Guthrie. Dreadful outcome if he hurts himself further and isn’t available post bye. He has become a critical player and we need him for those tough post-bye games.

I agree but the MC make some rather interesting choices some times
They do but one thing I generally back is when there’s a medical decision being made. I will assume if he plays he is medically deemed fit.

True i do wish they gave Simpson another week or 2 though just to get his body humming which i hope they learn from this time
Hamstrings are buggers like that. You can do everything possible and give it an extra week and still ping it.
