Really a game of two halves. First was some good Essendon footy, the second complete Essington

Just satisfied with 4pts.

Third quarter was the opposite of Essington.

Crows are no mugs and were always going to make a run. They did and we absorbed and absorbed and then took the couple of chances we were able to generate and managed to win the quarter. It was really mature footy.

Last quarter was less pleasing but in reality once we got it to 38 with 6-7 left (or whatever) it was junk time.

Phillips out is a massive plus. 0 marks (again), 3 clangers from 5 kicks, outmuscled at every contest despite being a foot taller than everyone not named Reilly.

Starting to think Parish is worth letting go depending what we’d get back. He and Caldwell’s skills are so far below the level - but at least Caldwell defends okay in close.

Merrett’s one of the better mids in the comp, he’s taken his game to another level.
