Wow, there would be close to 1,000 unsold tickets available to all comers via that link. Great tip Aph.

So what's the deal with the secret link?

Nothing worse than seeing empty seats at the ground when supporters who want to go, can't buy tickets.

It was on the Norf Board.

Does anyone know if these tickets actually provide entry into the game?
My concern is that they reserve a seat, but might don't not give a barcode as you have to scan your membership in order to enter the stadium.

Can anyone verify this?

Excellent point & I have edited my post.

Tickets are for Reserved seats only & an upgrade to Level 1.
You also need a GA M/ship.

Is Pittonet quietly one of our most important players, structurally?

Good analysis and insight. I think we gain something by playing the pair of rucks, especially because they are so different in style. If one is struggling - say, TDK is getting roughed up by a big-bodied veteran - then being able to swing in Pitto to go to work is a good option. It also means they stay fresher, so TDK can keep leaping over opponents in key centre bounces late in the game. Of course playing the two costs us something somewhere else in the 22, but at the moment I think we're better with the two of them in. Perhaps the additional running power that Acres, Hollands have brought plus the additional 23rd player sub partly addresses or offsets what we "lose" by playing two rucks.

Martin and DC should be those players… with cameos from Durdin, Motlop Fish and a developing Honey.

but they’re not yet there.

I dare say if the first two don’t come on, it’ll be top of the list.

the question is who do we target? Or do we draft?
Depends on what's available. Preference would be one and one. Draftee needs to be able to come in early and make an impact though. Strong draft apparently this year so might find one good to go.

That guy is a superstar, I really hope he doesn't play

I hope he plays as I have been watching his progress since listed - and comparing him to three other top10 midfield picks that were on our books - masochism is under rated.

Big wraps for the young fellows (Dutchy and Cow). But just an observation and appreciate some comments

I felt the Dwarfs (GWS) really piled on some pressure against us on Saturday, and quite a few players got the fumbles, Cowan on a couple of occasions was one, got caught with the ball or struggled to deal with the heat.

First thought was he might need to get some composure through the twos, but…..

3 games in, maybe the MC will persevere, plenty of others werent clean with the ball, not like we have a half bank flanker dominating in the twos that doesn’t shît the bed at times

Thoughts??
All the young players in the team are thriving at the moment. Mots, moo, durds and Dutchy are some of the hungriest players in the team. Mots is itching to kick goals. Dutchy doesn’t stop running and chasing everything and everyone. Durds and Cowan just want to hit people. It’s bloody awesome to be fair. They’re just going to get better. They can have some iffy moments in games but they all get back up and go again. There’s even a possibility that we might see another debut this week. Binnsy as a sub? Maybe some reward for effort for his form in the twos. Probably the best runner in the ressies already. Finds the ball well and I think he’ll get some good experience as the sub as well.

@JustaBattler For some reason the site won't let me quote you right now, so I'll do it like this

Agreed. I've got the feeling a few times we're too nice to really put teams away. I think a lot of our guys really lack the killer instinct and that's why we have big 4th qtr fadeouts. We don't really put teams away with emphasis, we get to a comfortable lead and sort of start to coast a little bit. We don't really want to stick the knife in and are happy thinking what we've done is good enough.

Obviously this is speculation, but I do get the same sense watching our team play that there's a real slow down once we get to a 30ish point lead in the 3rd/4th qtr and there's not any ambition to (to use an overused phrase) keep the foot on the throat and just cruise to a finish.

Reports that LDU is very much in doubt.

Saw on the north board he did a running session today and is a good chance still to play.

North only have a few players to worry about...a lot of passengers in their team.

LDU - their most important player. Run Ed and Hewett on him, with their job to nullify him at stoppages.

Cunnington - Happy to just go head to head against him at stoppages with Cripps and Kennedy

Larkey - PTSD thinking about him carving us up and kicking 7 or whatever. I'll still back Weiters but he should be double teamed whenever possible.

Zurhaar - we haven't had too much trouble with him in the past, but he can spark them. When forward assume Newman will get him.

Sheezel - has been classy off half back amd drives a lot of their ball movement from the back half. Durds is our quickest small and is our best at applying defensive pressure so would like to see him get the job. Maybe Motlop.

I agree, like being able to close out games- learning to win by a lot is also a milestone and KPI yet to be achieved. Big wins is what makes opposition teams scared and fearful.

All sound like fair calls. I suspect though that they will be losing more sleep about their match ups then we should.

That's a lot of focus on them.

Would prefer to see us back our boys/game plan in rather than trying to nullify a quarter of their team.

Not suggesting we should ignore them completely but that's going too far imo.

Absolutely focus on ourselves but I don't think that's too much at all - gotta take away the opposition's strengths.

Note I didn't say tag all these players. Cunnington we can go head to head and just think we put our best stopper in Newman on Zurhaar when forward.

Weiters on Larkey and trying to get a third man across isn't asking too much of the defence...he's clearly their best forward. The other key tall is Combden.

Minding LDU at stoppages is a must. And minding Sheezel again I think is reasonable. Don't have to be hard tags, but definitely put work into them.

100%
Ed’s our specialist lockdown/run with player, for any other head to head matchups we just need our players to be defensively accountable when they need to be, with a good balanced blend of attack every chance possible…

I'd love to see us try and play through whoever Sheezel is on. Rather than trying to negate him, just force him to have to play defensively first. With their lack of talls down back, I reckon he could very easily end up having to stand JSoS, who I'd like to think is smart enough to drag Sheezel into less than ideal spots for him to rebound from.

Don't think we tag LDU early, just have it as an option should he start giving them too much momentum.

Larkey and Zurhaar don't need special treatment, they're just standard forward fare for our backline to manage.

Game will be won in the forward half. Just need to win clearance as much as possible and make it hard for North to get a rebound game going.
