The more I think about it, the more I’ll believe SPS is actually out when he doesn’t run out with them. His game wa Amore than satisfactory for a first crack at the wing. The coach said he and Murph were asked to change roles and did well. That was 2 days ago.

Unfort I predict a late out.

Huge game for Dow. Should get decent midfield minutes and needs to show why he was drafted at pick 3. His confidence might be down, but he can still attack the ball and the man with ferocity.

Yes I thinking Saad .. he been looking proppy for the last few weeks

No one mentioning Kennedy. I guess je was really bad last week?
Pretty obvious Teague is not his biggest fan.
Welcome back Parks.

I don't think it has anything to do with being liked by the coach, he just doesn't add anything to the team, he won't be there next year, that much is pretty clear.

Well when you say older ones who do you mean?

Murph is out (for one reason or other)

Betts I think stays because he can actually apply forward pressure and Owies has come in to add more to that.

Levi, though struggling still works hard and puts in, and with omac and TDK injured, no one exists on the list to replace him.

Now there are others like Newnes who I believe should be put on notice as well, even Doch if he doesn’t start playing more accountable football and stop butchering the football.
Staggered Newnes stays in and SPS out

Possibly...my tip will be that Betts has some "bs soreness/injury/illness". Maybe DT didn't want to have both Murphy and Betts out on the Saturday night, so Murphy comes out first and Betts is the 'late out'

Could be - but it’s an odd practice to omit a player and invite the discussion and criticism when the plan all along is to bring him back in. Why not leave Dow as emergency and keep SPS in the 22, then bring Dow in when the late out is confirmed?
Although on second thought - that would require common sense, something the MC is not essentially known for.

For mine the issue with SPS isn’t his form not warranting a spell. More so that the coach decided to do it after playing SPS one week in his more natural position, after playing him 1.5 years out of his natural position.

the amount of rope some players in this team have is unbelievable - long and short.

The SPS decision is a bit of a headscratcher for sure, just don't see the point in dropping him after his performance last week. Give him an extended period playing where he should be playing. If he's not doing any good then, drop him.

He has the rest of this year....he wants it bad but his best probably not good enough.

He has had a good crack and still time to make himself a must keep. I hope he can .

I agree makes no sense otherwise Sam had 19 disposals at 73%
Gibbons 5 disposals at 60%
Betts 11 at 36%
I can’t see any logical reason to drop SPS over the other 2
We are team desperately needing to maintain possession

Hope Owies goes well and kicks a bag making it impossible for Teague to drop him however I see this as a D Teague one game special

I hope as i do with every player selected to represent Carlton that he kills it tomorrow. I just don't see his selection as being a game-changer at the moment and if he was going to be selected I would have thought it'd be at Eddie's expense. How do we justify playing both of them looking at who has actually been dropped.
