Can someone tell me how Mitch Robinson is still an AFL player? Just runs around doing fu$k all

Plays his best footy in finals remember.

Geelong will be tough to beat, they've squashed their opponents in the last 2 finals. They're seriously focused and have talent and motivation. I'd much rather have played Brisbane. They're last 2 wins have also been quite convincing. We are up against it... Backs against the wall even.
there was no way a side containing Robinson,Ellis Yeoman,McStay,Lester,Bailey and an old and overweight has been Birchall was ever gonna play in a GF
the counteraction to that is is they beat us 2 weeks ago so how does that make us look ?
well as the experts (ex players) say, 90% of the game is played above the shoulders,as we saw,Richmond that night were not in the right headspace
i'll back our psychologists, belief systems & game plan for Geelong one more time as its as obvious as the nose on your face, we along with a couple of other organisations, know exactly what it requires to get a win against them :)...i have confidence in what Richmond know...its 2 different systems colliding
cant wait

That play where he got a little poke in the eye and completely gave up on the contest showed how soft he really is .😉

He did kick it straight to our defenders on several occasions, so he wasn't completely useless!!

They were in red hot form when we beat them in The 2nd last round too, had pumped Port, Crows and Essendon plus let the dogs get 7 goals up and came back.

don’t get me wrong they are seriously good side. But if we play our best, most high pressure footy it won’t matter.
Agreed. Brisbane showed at times (not often enough though) that Geelong can be caught out defensively in a fast transition, something that we love to do. If Geelong set up well defensively, then good luck trying to bomb the ball forward like Brisbane did because it rarely works against Geelong’s defence.

With Edwards and Prestia back, we should do better than Brisbane in the midfield just like we improved against Port Adelaide from our last meeting in my opinion. Geelong are probably going to be the toughest Grand Final match-up for us out of Adelaide and GWS, but it’s a challenge the boys can overcome.

I don't know about the rest of you but I still haven't gotten over the Cats poaching Brad Ottens in 2004-05.

Given they wouldn't have won the flag in 2007, 2009, or 2011 without him*, I'd say they owe us big time as far as premierships won are concerned.

The Karma bus is coming, little kitties! It's black and it's yellow and it has your name on it!

Who? Me? Hold a grudge? Nah...

I think it will very much be a "best bottom 6 wins" kind of game.

Agree, we need to put their bottom 6 under extreme pressure so it means there is more pressure on the top end talent to pull off miracles.

Bews, Rohan, Menegola, Dalhlhaus, etc... have proven themselves poor in pressure games in the past. Add in Taylor and Henderson who are slow and liabilities if the ball hits the ground and I’d hope we have the advantage.

In 1967, I moved from Brisbane to Launceston and watched Richmond beat Geelong in that year's GF. I'd followed the (then) VFL in Brisbane but didn't have a team in Melbourne at the time. Richmond with a young Royce Hart became my Club for life. It's ironic that the two Clubs meet again on Saturday. Only this time, I hope we win by at least 10 goals.

Also having watched the PF last night, I was struck by the muted intensity of the contest compared with our clash with Port. With an extra day to rest and given the quality of our coaching staff this year, I expect us to ramp our pressure up even further and to hold it for the entire game. Geelong are good and deserve their place in the GF. I just think we are better, have no significant injuries other than Soldo, and have peaked at the perfect time. It's ours to lose now.

for mine it comes down to how much we get outta Pickett,Graham.Castagna,Short,Astbury & both Prestia & Edwards on account of theyre limited preparation
vs what Geelong get out of Miers,Henry,Parfitt,Dahlhaus,O'Connor& Rohan
Those long term injuries and out of hub decisions by Houli and Edwards may turn out to be to our advantage in the end. We get those players back in time to put match experience under their belts. The loss to Brisbane also gives us an extra game to do so. They come in fresh and match tuned. Can't wait for Saturday night.

And while I'm at it, I noticed the free kick count at half time was 10 to 2 in favour of Brisbane. Another reason why I'd prefer us to play Geelong on Saturday.

I think we line up well on Geelong and considering all the obvious match-ups they have no glaring advantages.

I certainly think our forward line will cause them more problems than the Brisbane forwards -- Lynch is in good form, Jack not so much but has pulled one out of the box in our last GF appearances and can do the same next week, whilst I can't see our smalls being less potent than Brisbane's were last night.

Our midfield is in very good form, I reckon -- it very much out competed Port's and that's no small thing so Geelong won't have an easier time of it in the midfield.

Our defence -- well, even though Hawkins has had a great year, he's playing a bit of a lone hand at the moment. Without support from another tall forward, our backs playing as a group should have him covered. Gryan Miers could be a problem for us, but I'd back in our smaller backs to hold him. People should ask "what about Gary Rohan?" but he played a bit above his average last night and I'd put him down as one of those guys that needs to perform to give Geelong the edge. If he can't repeat, and the odds are against it, then that's to our advantage. Rohan is at least not a massive source of goals for them.

They won't be any pushover, but I think we line up well against them in all the obvious spots and it will be up to the lesser lights on both teams to make the difference in what should be a pretty even contest.

How they would love to win one for Danger!
I’m already over this bullshit thought that the media have of Dangerfield getting his long awaited premiership... who made him the entitled one ... sickening ... and Ablett f##k him too... Handbagger supporters so in love with anything Ablett they forget he dropped the club to chase more money ... you just know its going to be the story all week ... let’s win it for Paddy and the little Master .... Enough to make me vomit

Guys I’m seriously worried. It’s a bad omen that some oppo supporters are jumping back on board all of a sudden 😏 Might throw our guys off mentally having Hawks fans jumping back on lol

In all seriousness this is a good result for us. Geelong have good talls but not tall talls 😂 if that makes any sense. Our ruck division shouldn’t be destroyed and we won’t be in trouble with high balls into the i50 or d50.

Will be an interesting game. We haven’t played a grand final against a fellow Vic team yet so it’s something new. What a shame it’s not being played down here
