Usually I don't listen to your constant negative rubbish TI but in the case of Short I have to agree with you. Watch him when he has to chase someone. He just can't run any more and his kicking, which was his weapon, is really inconsistent now. He doesn't hit targets and doesn't chanse. He is like a less defensive Jake Lloyd. If we could get a decent trade for him I'd take it.

People should realize i don't speak constant negative rubbish. I focus on problems i can see with players and the FD and soft hearts can't see it. I give credit to players and FD members when i see things well done. I am first to admit if i get things wrong, it's just i focus on the hard hitting issues that people like you get that impression. I'M rarely wrong with a player and i wish i was as we'd be all happier. lol.
On Short he needs trading out bc he's vanilla.

Brown looks ok but I would rather Holmes.

Again today, we tried our best. Last qtr that scuffle in the last few minutes not far from where I was sitting, I thought our boys were sending their message to the CFL that we've had enough. Could tell it was letting out our sheer frustrations to AFL headquarters, not at the Freo players. The last 8 years of you no what is starting to test my patience. At 1/2 time and after the game it got very tense when the umpires left the field. Actually thought our fans might jump the fence.

Tackles are the most overrated stat there is when you look at it in isolation.
How many tackles do we put on that get immediately shrugged off? Heaps.
Anyone can make a tackle. But they need to stick.

Not really. He runs under the ball 7 out of 10 attempts and the remainder the ball hits his hands and bounces off like a trampoline.

But I agree with the general talent comment.

No doubt it’s tough at the moment but things can also change pretty quickly
Some young players who take the game by storm in first years turn out to be nothing but a flash in the pan (remember Stephenson) and others who looked like non starters come on after a few years when the conditions are right

Just got to ride it out atm when things seem shit and see if we can find a few more gems like Lefau who would probably of still been playing VFL if not for our injury’s

Ultimately this year will supercharge the development of some of our younger players… not all of them will make it but the ones who do will very much be better for it

Dow is playing at the #1 or 2 mid while he should be the 4th or 5th.
It also isn’t a coincidence that Mansell and Campbell have dropped off since Balta and Lynch have been out.

Brown, Sonsie, Young and Miller were ok today.

Short is a problem imo.

Agree about time someone has put Short on notice his attack on the ball lacks intensity and his kicking geez don’t think he has hit a target since 2022 just bombs it down the line
