Tom Lynch you bloody champion.
NO preseason after doing a PCL.
Plays EVERY game and then kicks 5 goals in a Prelim.

Recruit of the century.
Just think about this for a second.
Next year Lynch will have a pre-season under his belt.
And Rance will be a handy addition.

Just posted this in a Geelong supporter group page that I joined to see several family members rants. The original post was having a massive sook about Houli's incident with Miers. Just waiting for then to abuse me. 😂

Every game, every single game, Ray Chamberlain finds an excuse to make a ridiculous call and has to explain it to the player and get himself on TV. He's a puffed up PE teacher with short-man syndrome and he's going bald!

He’s a ****ing disgrace

Not sure about Stacks fitness after injury but if hes right to go hes in for Graham.

Nank looked a mile off but they wont roll the dice with Chol or Balta.

Id love to see Pickett debut , you can tell he would be up to it. He or Stack for Graham for mine.

Yeah Nank looked totally cooked last night

Oh I’m hoping for a Richmond v Collingwood grand final.

The best things can easily be the worst and a grand final win over Collingwood would be the best feeling in the world but a loss would be the worst!

However I do think GWS could have something to say about that.
GWS have too many big guns out and will struggle. The Toby Greene stuff during the week wouldn’t have helped.
Pies should walk in.

Baker was targeted by the Cats in one-on-on contests. Badly exposed and was a liability. He did a few good things late in the game but cost us goals. I wouldn't play him next week.

You are right, they were clearly playing through his man but I think it's something we were willing to concede. It looks like Baker was playing as our highest defender, taking a big guy forward of the wing. I would have thought KMac would be better in that role, but those opposition marks didn't really hurt us because they went to Geelong players who then kicked down the line. It was only when Rata took another contested mark (gee he played well) that it was damaging.

Hard to see them shaking the side up too much. Jack Graham (inj) certain to come out and they might decide Nank isn't the right option against Grundy. Who is though? Our second ruck is going to get killed no matter what if he's on.

I'm sure this is ridiculous, but if Broad is out, what are the chances of Rance coming in? Maybe Rance should play in the 2s this weekend?

I'd rather keep Nank at this point unless there is actually something physically wrong with him. Having two proper ruckmen will be better against Grundy or Mumford. We lose too much drive when Chol goes into the ruck, imo.

And if Graham is out and Stack is fit, I'd bring him in, no questions asked. Stack should play in the 2s GF and if he gets thru ok he plays in the GF.

Richmond really tested my faith in the club this year. I lacked confidence that the team will come back from such adversity.

Rance out for the season. Cotch, Nank and JR injured. Losing games we should've won.

I really thought if we made the 8, we would've been just making up numbers. Otherwise we would be bottom 8.

But wow. This season has been incredible. The second and third tiers player really stepped up.

Prestia leading the charge. Bachar and Shedda stepping up and really throttling the competition. Dusty form timing. The miserly backmen lead by Grimes. Not to mention Stack, Chol and Iron Soldo.

I am floored. I am so disappointed with myself for doubting Richmond. I am proud that our club has pushed through the valley of the shadow of death.

Richmond. Thank you for proving me wrong.

What a night!

That's a win for the ages, absolutely demolished in the second quarter, somehow hung around to only be 21 points down at half time. Graham/Broad injuries, Cotch and Dusty obviously pretty sore. Super character to come back and win that comfortably in the end, and to be honest it seemed like it was always going to be the result with how they burst out after half time. How far this playing group have come.

Graham with a herculean effort to run out and compete for his team, in all likelihood knowing his chances of playing in another GF were gone. Goes down in folklore.
Lynch clear BOG for me, simply because without him last night we don't get close. Others were great and allowed us to compete but Lynch stepped up and won us that game.
Prestia is built for finals footy and surely starts getting some outside recognition after his finals performances over the last 3 years, not to mention AA squad this year.
Houli as Dimma mentioned has probably been our best finals player going back as far as all those elimination losses, interesting thought given he has been a whipping boy on this forum (not so much of late) as being a bit soft.
Edwards huge, he's an outstanding player, continues to rise to the occasion and surprise me, really shouldnt anymore.
I thought Cotch was gone in that first half, could hardly move. His impact early in the third quarter to get the game back on our terms is the type of leadership he has been celebrated for over the last few years.
Thought Baker was exposed for height yes, but I actually didn't mind his game. Never lost his head and kept battling, showed composure in traffic a few times.
Surely Ellis' best final, was hard at the footy and made a few crucial tackles and interceptions to stop Geelong in their tracks.

Could keep going for an hour really but what a win. There will be some sore boys today and hopefully they will all be fine, hard to see how Graham can get up and play but if not that presents a massive opportunity for someone to come in and adds a whole interesting subplot to tomorrow's VFL GF.

One to go!
Awesome post 👍👍👍👍

I agree Prestia played the near perfect game. The other guys you mentioned were excellent but Prestia was on another level. His set shot goal in retrospect iced the game.
I’ll be getting on the Meatball for the Normsmith
Kicking is one thing that has improved from when he first arrived. It was shizen couldn’t hit the side of a barn. Last night he was bombing 60m drop punts from the middle to Lynch in the goal square and converting from on the 50

LYNCH IS SO ****ING GOOD! LIKE SO SO GOOOOOD!

I love the fact we have so many blokes that say “Alright fellas, get on my back and follow me, we are winning this”. Cotchin’s attack on the ball at the start of the third quarter really set the tone. He is the best captain in the AFL by a long way. God I love him.
