We have played better with Hopper out. Nothing against him but the mix is NQR with him playing. But no way he doesn't get selected. JG has been playing OK with no Hopper. The midfield mix looks right. Cotch, Shai, Dusty, Taranto. Maybe Dusty more time up fwd. Cotch on the bench?


I hope Ryan can recover. Did he come off early due to the rain. Hugo underwhelming again.



After a solid win in the VFL too I can't see anyone get a game after the win in the AFL. Maybe Soldo for Ryan? Bigoa spent time off the ground is he injured ?

My changes would be Pickett and Hopper up fwd.

Replacing Ryan and MRJ.

I thought Maurice was poor before the injury and the Saints game was no improvement.

Is it Hopper out or Hardwick out that has us playing better?

You’re hard pressed to pick a top 5 from last night. Super effort and I’m in agreeance with the posters that are saying that was one of, if not the best win for the club since 2020. To give the opposition a 4 goal start and just reel them in before qtr time was pretty emphatic. Last season we played some pretty scintillating footy but I think we all agree that our transition defence and defence as a whole never looked right. It looks right now, we look solid behind the ball, our defensive 6-7 are running like a well oiled machine - we are now a better all round side than we’ve been the past 2 years.

Were all very good and had an impact.
I don’t know what’s happened but since Mini took over it’s like the shackles have been released and we’re just looking quick and free flowing, surging hard almost irrepressibly but still maintaining a really strong sound defensive structure.

Just on mj - I actually think he looked pretty good yesterday, he looked as sharp as I can recall just some decision making let him down. Something to build on. Having said that would love to get a look at coulthard, think his skill set and speed will translate well at afl level

Miller with the snap on the run nice. Young's punch started the run forward and Miller made the most of it by running forward to finish off the play.

Had the perfect view of that from behind Miller. A great goal in the conditions.

gotta agree,i dont think theres a spot for Hopper in the rotation atm,min has struck the perfect balance of grunt n pace,only player JH can replace is JGTI
